Just curious, why is it that everyone raves about PAMs but you hardly ever see one being smoked in the Tonight's Smoke post?

I'm not really sure. It seems like people are holding onto these. Also, they are somewhat limited in terms of availability... so people like to stare at them rather than smoke them.

I've heard that there isn't much aging potential with these so I'm not sure why. I don't have enough experience with them to begin with.. although they are pretty tasty ROTT

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I don't post every cigar that I smoke in Tonight's Smoke. I tend to smoke earlier in the day before the thread starts or out with my friends at night with no computers around. But I did smoke a PAM about a week or two ago. Like jmunro said though, with the limited availability I don't smoke them that often.

I love the PAM diplomatico, but $ keeps me from smoking them very often. You don't see those every day at C Bid or auctioneer, you know?

I tend not to smoke them too often because I think they're a little overpriced but last week, I smoked a 1964 Exclusivo and a 40th Anniversary, both maduros and both excellent.

I keep a few PAM's around, but don't smoke them that often as they are often more expensive than the CC's that I buy, or more expensive that some of the other high quality NC's that I smoke. Occasionally I'll get one of of the Padronador and lite one up, but I'm more likely to grab a sungrown wrapped cigar, which is my favorite wrapper. There are only a few maduros that I smoke and enjoy, the the PAM is one, just more pricey than the others.
