I normally spend a few hours there every week.I know Bob, and am unfortunately blank as to the names of the young man that works there and the gentleman who is an avowed democrat (lol I've been there for some of the shall we say "active" discussions). I want to say Mark but am not confident I am correct.

I ordered a box of 10 earlier this week from www.famous-smoke.com and got them today. I'm smoking one right now and have to say it's probably the best smoke I've had (with my limited experience).

Looks like they still have some in stock.

What a good smoke. It's definetly a step up from the 'O' Maduro.

Just tried one last night and it was EXTREMELY good! It starting kicking me towards the end though. But it had a great draw, even burn, and great taste throughout!

My 2 boxes arrived the other day. I smoked one and it was very very good. One problem - The filler is very thinly allocated per cigar.. (not dense) and it must be smoked sloooowly. It would be so much better if there was more filler each one. I can squeeze it down to a quarter inch thick it is so sparingly used in each cigar. I think that was a mistake by Oliva but with that said, the cigar is a good one.

The good draw and burnt taste at the end is because it burns too fast and is not rolled tight. It must be smoked very slow.

I assume this was directed to me about the photo? Honestly, I'm not sure where the ribbon is. I don't think I would have removed it for any reason. That's gonna bug me now! What color should it have been? Maybe it's laying around here somewhere. My organization of sticks is not so good at the moment.

It kind of bothers me too. The ribbon is brown with a gold Oliva Logo. I bought 2 boxes. One from a reliable dealer here right next to the Oliva Factory... it had the ribbon in it and smelled delicious. The other I bought from TwinSmoke Shop. That one had no ribbon and it smelled of varnish... the paint or varnish on the box. So I have no idea what is going on.
Anyone else have any ideas??

My other box is still sealed and I don't want to open it. The ribbon thing is an interesting observation. The smokes were GREAT. No odd varnish smell or anything.

My box has the ribbon. But i do smell the varnish smell that your talking about. The cigars smell fine and i smoked one and it was excellent. Not sure what to make of this. Bought my box from Cigars International.

I got three boxes from 2 Guys Smoke Shop...I have opened up one of the boxes and it does not have the ribbon, but, it does smell of varnish.

Hmmm...now this is going to bug me.
