I'm sure this cigar has been discussed a lot around here, but I just picked up a few of the torpedos last week while in DC for a conference (from Drapers which is a great shop if are in DC).
I was reluctant to believe the hype, but after smoking a few of these now, I must say they are fantastic. They are so smooth and creamy. What a great smoke. I've really not been smoking a lot of NC's lately, but I'm going to go get a couple of boxes of these before they are named the cigar of the year.
Although I don't consider it a classic, 95 and up rating, I have to say this is one smoke that has lived up to the great press. It is without a doubt one of the best cigars to come around in a while. I picked up a few of the Robustos today along with the ITC 10th another beauty from RP. I was never a big fan of his cigars but the Edge Maduro, ITC 10th and Decade are all part of my regular rotation. If you like the Decade give the ITC 10th a try. Not as rich and as full flavored but a good medium bodied stick in it's own right. Of course, this is JMHO.
I've had at least 5 of the Torpedos and Robustos, and I have to agree with the above posts. The cigars remind me of the Padron Annis and 1926s, from the wrapper to the cedary, dark espreeso flavors, the RP Decade is a winner. I'm not a big fan of Rocky's cigars, but I am of these. I've got 3 of each still resting and one day soon I'm gonna buy a box. I scored both of them in the low 90s, just great cigars.

I love the RP Decade. I just recently bought a box of the torpedos and they are fantastic. I have tried all of the sizes and have yet to be disappointed. Good suggestion on the ITC 10th Littoines -- I'm going to give it a try.

I smoked a Decade robusto last night... made me wish I picked up more than just a handful. Beautiful construction and burn. Amazingly smooth and creamy flavor and the aroma is simply great. Definitely above a 90 in my book.

I've had the Torpedo and I thought they we're really good. Not sure if I like them more then the Sungrown or 1992 series. It's a must for any RP fan. Personally, like many other members agree it's not a 95, but it's at least a 90 in my book.

I really like the first 3/4 of both the Decade and the OWR...but am I the only one who feels like RP sticks just go sour at the end...I mean they taste terrible even...whats up with that?

I'm On my second box the first was the torpedo and now working on the Robusto that just got here Sat in the mail. It's a Good cigar with super good flavor and a nice burn. Not sure about the 95 rating but it's a good cigar and a must try for everyone
I have a box of Torpedo's and a box of Robusto's in my humidor. These Cigars are definitely must have smokes in my Humidor.
I'm not sure whether I agree or disagree with the 95 rating for the Torpedo but I have to say if I rate it based on all the Cigars I have ever smoked, I agree with the rating.

Maybe it's a storage issue, but I find the Decade Robustos get progressively better as they are smoked; right down to the nub. I'm disappointed when I finally have to put it down or burn my fingers. I keep my cigars at 70% and never lower. I like to smell them when I open my humidor and find the cigars smoke nice and cool at that humidity.

You are not the only one, I love the first half of the cigar but I just don't get much complexity out of them after that, flavors are kinda muddled for the last 1/3.

Steve, if you can pick up some toros, I would very strongly recommend trying the cigar in that size. I've had several of the robustos, and, IMO, the stick simply does not have the time to develop like it really needs.
