So I was smoking an RP Old World Beli and felt something a little sharp on my lip.
I was almost finished so I opened up the cut a little and pulled out what was sharp.
Is this normal?

To me, it looks like a part of the filler that was sub standard. As much as I love cigars they are an organic product that prone to the occassional flaw....at least you have the good taste to pick a Rocky.

Luck of the draw, I bet you never have an issue like that again as long as you stick to quality manufacturers

One of the filler leaves obviously had very large "veins" which dried up into sticks. That particular leaf should have been discarded, it must have slipped by...

I have had two problems with cigars in the last 15 years. Once with a box of Dominican Cohiba's there was a 3" piece of bailing wire rolled into the cigar. Another time with a box of Hoyo Excaliburs there was a hair caught up in the rolled wrapper. Both times I wrote the company to express my dissatifaction. Hoyo sent me a box and Cohiba arrainged for the rep to meet me at my local cigar shop and the guy hand delivered a box of replacements. The Cohiba rep was shocked that I kept the nub with the wire in it. He told me that they actually used a metal detector on their bails to make sure this doesn't happen.

Contact the company.
Base your continued loyalty to their product.
On how they handle your complaint.
