Hey everyone,

Who do you all recommend in terms of an on-line retailer that sells single cigars? I am determined to smoke a few of each of this year's top 25 list (the NC's anyway). My local B&M doesn't have a lot of them or only has them in boxes of 25, which is more than I need or want. Also the B&M is significantly more expensive than Cigar Aficionado suggests these cigars should cost.

Thanks.
Joel

Holts's has singles of the Ashton VSG (and a sampler pack), and four packs of this year's number one. New Havana Cigars and Tower Cigars carry the Illusione. I would suggest the sampler pack at New Havana so you can see which in the Illusione line you prefer (I like the 88 better). You may like a different size in the line better then the one CA picked. Same goes for the VSG or any of the cigars they picked. Ratings aren't everything and taste is subjective. Enjoy.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

Tampahumidor is also my favorite. I'm in Florida so I'm local but I love their prices and service.

Cbid is a great place to get cigars and accessories. However, just be sure you do your homework and know what your bidding on is actually selling for on other sites. Don't just assume that because its an online auction, it'll be cheaper. I see this all the time with more expensive cigars like Padrons and VSGs. If you want Ashtons and Fuentes, go to tampasweethearts.

Point well taken. I have only bid on cigars I want to try and bid less than what they sell elsewhere.

Indeed- you do need to watch your step with cbid- sometimes you CAN do better elsewhere. So don't get caught up in the excitement! Uh.... I need to follow my own advice, too! Red Face

I too am amazed sometimes at the prices cigars go for on CBID....more than retail! I have learned to only bid below what I can pay retail for them and if I lose the bid then I laugh at the fool who paid higher than retail for the cigars.

Selection is limited to Tatuaje, Don Pepin and Illusione but they keep good stock on what they have including Illusione samplers. Very speedy delivery and perfectly stored in shipment.
Big thumbs up.
