Does anyone smoke these cigars? I've seen 'em in the JR catalogues and I'm interested in people's opinion of them. How do they taste? Are they made well? Worth the money (they seem cheap)? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

These are my favorite smoke. They aren't too expensive yet taste great to me. They have a nice body and taste - but not overpowering. I usually smoke the Uhuru size. Do a search - someone reviewed the Kilimanjaro in the Cigar Review Forum. As soon as I smoke enough of my other cigars to make room I am going to buy a box of Uhuru's.
I did not think they were bad but it seemed like I had to work a smoking it. Not the easy relaxing cigars like I usually enjoy. Hopefully this thread will shed some light on these cigars. I thought it was very full bodied. The taste was a little green or earthy.
I have tried these, and found them to be strong and a little on the bitter side. I have two that I am aging for awhile to see if the bitterness subsides after a few months.

Thanks guys this is the kind of info that I was looking for. Like somebody else said, hopefully we can get a good bit of info in this thread about these cigars. So far, it doesn't sound like something I'd spend money on. Hopefully we can get some more opinions. Thanks again.

I have a box of the Jambo,a new size(5x52)and have smoked 5 so far. All have been very good,beeing only a week old they may be a tad damp(JR always ships damp in my opinion). These and the Cabinet #30's are two of my faves.
I wanted to try them too, JR's has a great deal on a 5 pack of the Afriques for 18.00. You can't beat the price if you just want to try them. I haven't tried them yet, giving them some time in the humidor first.

well i smoked the very first jambo size that the jr's in burlington got in the other day. i made them open the box so i could tell if i wanted the whole box or not, they weren't even in the computer yet i liked the jambo size, which is the only one i've smoked so far, but it is not my favorite, and i didn't buy the box. good flavor, yet not complex, or real full. little tight on the draw, but still worth trying again, especially after some aging.

Just tried my first one yesterday - got a 5-pack sample. I really enjoyed the smoke - it burned nice and even, draw was nice and smothe and had a great flavor. Looking forward to more of these.
