I am new to the forum and have recently been getting more involved in Cigars. I travel back and forth to Panama for business and have very good purveyor there that my father has been buying Cubans for the last 40 years. I am especially stuck on Cohiba Siglo II and enjoys these above all others. I am looking for a substitute smoke. I have visited the local shop and picked up a dozen different premiums but none would do it. I even went online to order a box from a "Source" in Switzerland but I chickened out and canceled the order.
I live in Boston and was hoping for a recomendation that would be suitable and am Going to a place called Cigar Masters.
Until i get back to Panama I would appreciate any suggestions.

Honestly I think the most Cubanesque cigars are those made by Don Pepin...especially the brown label Tatuaje Cabaiguan. There are others to be sure...Fonseca Cubano Limitado, Tropical's JFR but when I smoked the Cabaiguan on Tuesday I thought it was cuban....very much had that earthy taste.

For me Padilla Miami is a great "substitute". I especially like the Lancero. Very "cubanesque".
IMHO.
