I just bought a sampler of the Coronado line and I'm curious as to what everyone thinks of these cigars.

I am a big fan of the Double Corona. If you have one, don't smoke it too fast. Take your time with it and follow the one puff per minute suggestion. You will find it flavorable and complex and that the flavor changes as you smoke.

~8 threads below yours.

..and I have had no problem with the strength of this smoke and I puff about 10-15 puffs/minute. I've had this cigar (a Corona Especial size) with my morning coffee and consider it a 'normal' full-strength smoke.

I tried one, was not impressed by either the flavor, the draw or the burn. Granted it was one cigar only, but that was my impression.

Strange...the Corona Especials that I've been smoking are so good I find myself choosing one of these over a VSG. There's some new floral flavors in them that I've never tasted before. Perfect razor burn as-well.

Well, I finally got around to trying one of those Coronados last night- I was very satisfied! I thought the draw was great, the burn decent, and the flavor outstanding. I had been reading on the forums that the cigar had lots of power. To be honest, I didn't think it was that bad. As kbice had said, I did find that the flavor changed a little over half-way through. Overall, I will definately be buying more of these!

+1

These blow away VSG's IMO.

Great cigar. Litto has done a great job with all sizes. The Corona Especial is a little power house. In my experience......smoke slowly and you will get alot from this cigar! Fast smokers (too much heat ..too fast) will get muddled tastes.

I smoked my first yesterday or so after it rested for a good year or so in the humi.

It got a high rating so I went into the cigar with high expectations.

I wanted to like the cigar.

It looked great, wrapper was perfect, construction and draw were great. Flavor poor.

It lacked balance and had a harsh finish. I've read someone else refer to it as "salty" and I agree.

I have no plans to purchase this cigar in the future. I'll take a VSG any/every time...

Very disappointed in the lancero. It wouldn't burn. It let them rest in my humi for a week, too, at 65% RH. I'll try a few more but what a bummer.

My box of Corona Especials (5 7/8 x 47) arrive on Monday. From past experience, this size has consistent draw and burn.

Any smoke in the lancero size (~38 ring) is a gamble because they are so difficult to roll. But when they're right, their great.

I only have very minor burn problems with the DC and CE but smoke them all the time. I find you have to touch them but not very often.

The lancero actually had a perfect draw, as has been the case with La Flor's Double Ligero lancero. A shame about the burn.
