I was reading the recent edition of the cA. On page 182 Padilla "is introducing two new masterpieces the Padilla Habano and the Padilla Signature 1932," series.

Has anyone smoked these? If yes, can you describe the blend (is it similar to the 8&11) and what are the sizes and prices of these 2 new editions to the Padilla Family? I checked out their web-site but I could not find out anything about these new blends.

The Habano is not new. They just changed the packaging and the bands. They have been out since last year.

The signature is not due out until the fall.

I've smoked the Habano. Very rich and thick-flavored, unilke the 8/11 which to me is light on its feet flavor-wise, with a fresh character, while the Hybrid is very cedary in comparison.

The new cigars you saw are the Padilla Habano refering to a 5 year old Nicaraguan 1st generation Cuban seed grown in Esteli Nicaragua retailing for about 5.50 to 7 dollars.

The other Padilla is the Signature 1932 a full-body complex cigar with a limited release blended with Pepin Garcia, this cigar should be out late October. The Padilla 1932 will be unique in flavor bringing to mind Cubas fuller cigars like the Bolivar. The wrappers and fillers are rare and hence the limited production they will come in about six sizes-keep an eye out for a review in Cigar Insider.
