Can't speak about the tubes, but assuming they were purchased properly humidified, if I couldn't put them in a humidor I would double ziplock bag them if I was keeping for a few months. If longer, I would use a small humi pouch or make my own.

Right. Unless they're going to be smoked within a couple of days, even screw-top tubos need to be in a humidor where the temp and humidity is constant.

Out of my experience, tubes pulled out of humidifier would do the job for a couple of days. In ziplok bag - a week. In ziplock bag with humidipak/pillow/pouch - several weeks to a month.
