I am hooked on the Oliva Series G Bellisco. I think it is the Cameroom wrapper that gives it such a wonerful smooth, creamy, great smoke! I mean I love these cigars! Any other recommendations for Cameroon Wrapper Cigars?

I truly believe the best Cameroon wrapped cigar is the H.Upmann vintage Cameroon. I'm not a big fan of the big tobacco conglomerates, but these are fantastic smokes.
It seems to me that the best of this line is the Petit Corona and Corona. The belicoso or torpedo shape is also fantastic.
JMHO.

IMO the best cameroon *is* the Oliva Serie G. I find the combination of cameroon and their all Nicaraguan binder & filler tobacco is the magic combo.

My favorite cameroon is the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos. For a less expensive cigar, try the Carlos Torano Cameroon 1916.

The closest thing to the Oliva G is the Camacho Select -- Nicaraguan filler, Cam wrapper. A great medium- to full-bodied Cameroon.

Another great fuller-bodied Cam is the La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet. Tough to find, but worth it. Check out the lonsdale.

I can't argue with Funete Don Carlos 'cause KKL is right -- it's fantastic. Don't overlook the Ashton Heritage Puro Sol if you're shopping in that price range as well. An equally good smoke.

Upmann Vintage Cameroon, as littoines said, is surprisingly good but much milder than Oliva Serie G. My favorite "conglomerate" Cameroon is Dominican (red band) Partagas. I actually pulled out the #10 double corona to smoke after work today.

I just bought two boxes of Torano 1916 and they are mild but good as well. Try the robusto.

Of course, if you like Oliva Serie G, keep smoking it! You may find, despite the low price, it's your favorite of all the cigars mentioned here.

(Wow...this is a rarity. Someone asks for suggesitons and actually gets a whole thread full of good ones without some goofball chiming in with "Try the Victor Sinclair Limitadia" or some such nonsense.)

Don't forget the Fuente Hemingway series, while not in the Oliva G price range, still an excellent cammy wrapped smoke.

Serie G is a great smoke! I bought a 5 pack and need to buy more. IMO this is a box worthy purchase.

Good suggestion, can't believe I overlooked these.

But for that matter, Smartman, I guess any Cameroon-wrapped Fuente in their "lower" lines should be considered. I always forget how good the $4 and $5 Fuente Cammies can be. They're almost as good a value as Serie G.

I would go for the Hemingway classic in regards to a Cameroon wrapped cigar first in the lineup. The series G is amazing, but a little soft.

I do not feel that th H.Upmann vintage Cameroon is a well balanced cigar. IMO, the wrapper strongly overpowers the filler.

Maybe it's just me but I also like the Peterson Gran Reserva cammies, Belicoso specifically, and the price is right there with the Oliva G

Wow! Thanks guys! Some great recommendations! I am going to try some Fuente's; the Hemmingway line and the Don Carlos. Plus, I am going to give the Upmann a try as well. Someone also suggested the Camacho Select. He is correct! I have those in my humidor next to the Olivia G's!

If I'm not mistaken, Fuente gets their Cameroon wrapper from the Oliva farm.

I love Cameroon wrappers. The Don Tomas Cameroon line is also very good-- similar to Hemingways and much cheaper. Not too hard to find.

I love cameroon wrappers. My favorite is the Toraño 1916 either robusto or corona. I feel like its an underrated smoke but thats fine, more for me. I just ordered a 5pack of the Upmann Vintage Cameroon so I cant wait to try that out. Fuente's Hemingway line is also very good.

After reading this post I purchased the series G (I bought a torpedo for 3 bucks and well worth my money. I ordered some more) and I must admit they were great! My new go to cigar while the others age in my humidor.

I just tried the Oliva G in a churchill, and it is very impressive. Great cigar. I am really surprised that it is not at all expensive.

Thanks for this posting thread, or I might not have ever found this great Cameroon cigar.

I have had about three serie G, I had a robusto and didnt like it very much. Then I tried the toro and I loved it!

So I had another robusto in my humi that I tried today, and still didnt care that much for it.

I thought they used the same fillers??

Or am I crazy?
