Ok guys, I searched and read all the shiot associated with coolerdors.
Is it this simple?
Get a cooler, couple of jars of climax beads(depending on how many smokes you got, a digitall Hygrometer, some spanish cedar and your Wink set. I think its pretty easy but I would like to here some info from you guys that have been using these for years (BINDER!!!). Im gonna store smokes in here for a while before they go in my humi, Im gonna use it for aging and acclimation mostly. Is there a place on the web that sells the spanish cedar, climaxx beads and Dig, hygrometer all at one place? I now where to get it all seperate but would rather order it from one place.
Thanks in advance guys. Wink

I was going to tell you aboutRockler for a spanish cedar, then I saw that you want to buy everything in one place. I think you can do that for the exeption of Cedar.

Stoge, I already answered your plastic tip question through e-mail, do you really need to beat a dead horse? FNG's!

I think you can buy spanish cedar kits for certain size coolers, but I can't remember where right now. Maybe someone SMART can help, but if not, I try to figure out where I saw these.

Yes and I have taken ones that smell better than you also. Do you store your ciggerettes in your coolerdor PMP?

I quit smoking stogie. Turns out cigarettes are bad for ya. Who would have known? I hope someday to have enough money to buy enough cigars to fill even a small coolerdor.

Have you thought about a wine chiller instead? You can get them for a pretty good deal and with a humidifier and hygrometer they can make a nice place to store boxes I hear. They supposedly keep them at the ideal temperature as well. Worth looking into I would say.

Cool beans P! Do you know about how much they run off the top of your head, because it's not very much to make a coolerdor. If you hear anything drop me a line. Wink

Buy Spanish cedar? That shtuff is expensive. I just leave the cigars in their original boxes or save up varnished SLBs to store sticks in.

The whole reason you start a coolerdor is because you want to store cigars in quantity and the easiest way to do that is leave them in the box.

I will occasionally condense partial boxes into a particularly nice large unvarnished wooden box (ERDM, Mancini, Mayorga, CC SLB's) but other than that, I don't bother. The whole cooler smells like cigars and cedar anyway, going to the trouble of lining it is beyond me.

I have a friend who made Spanish Cedar shelves and trays then took all of his cigars out of the boxes, laying them out nice and neat. He used a big cooler turned on end. One day his brother-in-law came over and flipped the cooler right side up, not knowing it contained cigars.

Several dozen chipped premium cigars and a domestic disturbance call later, my buddy went back to leaving them in boxes.

It sounded too easy to mee too, and it is! All I didn't even use any cedar. Just put all my singles in boxes and threw it in the cooler.

Been holding at 65% ever since. Those beads are amazing.

wine chillers start at 100 and run to several thousand depending what size you get. A nice large one can be found for about 200. You also have to get one that can go up to 65. Other than that the use is exacly the same as a coolerdor. You use climax beads to humidify and set it at 65. You also want to look for a chiller that doesn't have bottle shapes molded into the shelves because that will hinder the storage space.
