May be a better post for Cigar Talk....that said, I don't rotate them per se....I choose which smokes I am going to smoke in a given day/weekend; I try to pull from the bottom or the back of the shelves....things sort of get rotated as I add new sticks/take some away, ya know?

Thanks for posting this question, it has reminded me to rotate the stock. Anyways, I do it about once a month.

You want to rotate them from the front to the back, but, this is important, ALWAYS be sure to keep them on the same side. You can't be reversing the tread on these new fangled radials or you'll shorten the tire's life drastically.
Peace.

I did not know that. Prez let me ask you a question then.
I found that once or twice when my RH was low and I turned my cigars not rotated them, that my RH went back up to normal? Just wondering if there is a reason why you shouldn't do turn them. Glad I posted this question b/c I won't ever turn my cigars again. Thanks for the input!
I never rotate my cigars. I don't usually let them sit long enough. I buy two or three boxes at a time. When I am down to one box left I will buy another two or three boxes. This ensures that my daily smokes are at least 3-6 months old when I smoke them. In that length of time I see no need to rotate them.

I never rotate my stock.... that is because I have a cabinet and store by box, not by stick. Even when I used my desktop, still never rotated my stock. Never had any problems to date...
Now with that said, I inspect the boxes every couple of months... I love to look at all those beautiful stogies, touch and smell the wonderful wrappers.... HMMmmmmmm Lay out all those boxes before me and tell each and everyone stick that I will take the proper time to love every last one....
It is good to be one with your cigars. It is all about respect in the relationship.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries. -David Savona

never rotate mine either. havent had any problems yet, although I do take them out every six months or so, so that I can inspect them. but then I place them back in the same place. I might add that some of these cigars are years old, so in my opinion, rotating your stock is not a must.

I don't rotate mine either. I find there is less chance of damaging any if you leave them alone until you want one to some.
I have drawers in the larger humi and I put a box in each. That way I don't have to move them around to get to any underneath.

I used to rotate mine once a month. I wondered about it so I spent a lot of time online trying to get an answer. What I found was that if the cigars are realy dry when you put them in your humidor then you should rotate them a couple of times. If not and when the dry cigars have been in your humidor a month or so then it matters not about rotating then. So I don't rotate mine any more and I have some that have been stored for well over a year and they smoke fine without rotating them.
