Folks- I bought a box of Monty's new Afrique (Uduru's) two weeks ago and broght them to a wedding in MN. I'm a big CAO Cameroon fan, and let me say that the Uduru was every bit as complex and spicy as the CAO, but without the smoking problems associated with CAO's box-press (they always book the filler). J&R Cigar has these babies on sale for $99 and they threw in a sampler of 5 other smokes along with 1lbs of Monty's new coffee. I went back to buy another box this week, and they'd sold out. These cigars are going to get alot of press. Buy these cigars!

Thanx for the review. I've been checking JR for a while now, all the sizes I would want are sold out. Guess I'll just keep looking...

I've just bought two of them today and now smoking the first one. Yes, dougo is right!! The cigar smelled like orange peel just like RyJ Vintage. After lit up, it has a nice mixture of peppery spice and nutty flavor. Medium bodied, medium strength with good balance and depth. CAO Cameroon is a good comparison. The only negative point of CAO Cammie was the price. If Uhuru is less than $4 with box purcase, this could be a good everyday smoke with the suitable size. I'm not a big fan of NC Monty nor Cameroon wrapper, but this one would be a regular in my rotation. Arguably the best Cammie in the market, I think.

I would love to try one of these. Does anyone know if JR will sell these in singles? The description JR's catalog gives, as well as the reviews here sound right up my alley in the flavor dept. but I've been disappointed before. I'd sure like to try one or two before buying a whole box.

No, I'm not "Rad" but my initials are R.A.D. and I am a dad of a lad who's initials also are R.A.D thus, RAD_Dad. ;-D

Probably in the shop only. That's something you would probably have to hook up with a person local to a JR outlet.
