I thought I read a while back somewhere
that Oliva was going to be making a maduro version
of the V.
Has anyone heard or read anything if this is true?

It was the word on the street pre-IPCPR, but after that it has kinda been lost in the fuzz. I heard that it got pushed, but whether it got scrapped or not, I have no idea.

I too would like to hear some info.

That would be a shame if it did get scrapped.
There's a cigar that i would love to get my hands on once it came out.
Finger's crossed.

Don't know about the "V", but I've been smoking a lot of the Serie "G"s, both Cameroon and maduro and the Olivas I think cure the BEST maduro leaf in the world. The Serie G Cameroon is spicy delicious and the maduro is clean, earthy and delicious, nothing like the Connecticut Broadleaf maduros everyone else has on their cigars. I guess since it's grown in Nicaragua by the Olivas, they have a certain way of curing the leaf that is unsurpassed. It kinda reminds me of Padron maduro leaf. In any case, if they put the leaf on the "V" cigars, they will be awesome.

I heard that suggested retail will be around $8 a stick... so $80 for the box, not counting any box discount one may receive from a local B&M.

They are most definitely worth a shot at that price.
