You are probably talking about the Tainos and I think you should smoke it as soon as possible... so that you know what you have and can get more.

Glad you liked it, wish I had more... I would of included a few... my stash is getting extremely low (kinda like my bank account from this habit.)

I agree with you on the time though, I smoked one during MNF and all I could think about was grabbing one of my remaining petites so I could smoke it back to back. I have had them last 15 minutes and another 30+... I guess it depends who you are with and what you are doing.

Black Label was Pete Johnson's personal blend...a $13, shaggy foot, pigtailed corona gorda that was stronger than the brown band. They were packed in collectible jars and unfortunately, they were a one-time run and are sold out everywhere that I know of.

An excellent cigar but only one of many in the Tatuaje line. Don't be too disappointed that you missed it. If you're looking for something "special," check out the Tatuaje RC line of figurados or look for some remaining stock of Pete's East and West Coast editions. Or even some Cabiguan Guapos.

Enjoy!

And what a great cigar the Black Label is. Pete needs to put these into regular production.

I love the black label. I have 15 left in my jar, and hopefully I will have the patience to let them age. I'm heading to a Tatuaje event next week, and crossing my fingers that Pete will be giving out some black robustos.

I smoked a couple J21s for the first time that i got from Pepin's shop in Miami. Those were some fantastic cigars. Smooth, and rich with a complex character that would probably only get even better with aging. My only regret was not getting more for sitting! Thankfully I still have my full compliment of Black Labels that I am trying to forget about.

It's so tough not to smoke them... I know the feeling. If he does bring them, get ready to buy a box... I think that's how it works.

Had a great time at the Tatuaje event at Updown Cigars in Chicago. Nice to finally meet the man behind the hottest cigars around. Got those black label robustos I've been dying to try, along with some other goodies:

Tats 'n more
