Tonight I had a Tatuaje Unico. I haven't had one in a while. It was a wonderful experience.
Insane amount of smoke, perfect draw and perfect burn on the first 2/3's. Last 1/3 needed a slight touch here and there, but still delicious.
It had a nice nutty and caramel flavor with just enough spice on the finish to keep it interesting. I showed some respect on this one as the last one gave me the spins by the end.
This cigar begs to be smoked quickly. It burns very slowly and is tough to overheat. The cigar never became hot and the flavor was incredibly smooth. Wonderful experience. I'm definitely going to be picking up a box.
Even by smoking slowly (solid 80+ minutes), I still had a buzz by the ring. I'm enjoying that now while I type.
I'm very interesting to hear from anyone that has smoked one of these with some age on it. I have to imagine the strengh would ease a little and the flavors would mature as well. After tonight's experience though, it would be difficult to have them and let them age.
I can definitely attest to the difficulty in letting these age! However, with that said I have two Unicos left from a box I bought a little over two years ago. I had one last week and it was absolutely beautiful...and definitely worth the wait. I also have a box of Reserva J21s that I'll be aging as long as I can hold myself off from them. IMHO these are classic smokes that I plan to enjoy for a long, long time.
I had a J21 the following day. Very nice smoke. I'm more used to the robusto size. The flavor was a little stronger, but also a little harsher. I may purchase of few of these and let them sit just to see how they do every 6 months or so.
I found the Unico smoother and more enjoyable. I still have the Noellas. Maybe next week.
Just as icall stated the J21 Reserva is hands down my favorite brown label. When I get paid on Friday I'm going to order the HUNTER sampler from NHC to taste them all. I already have the Havana VI sampler resting in my humi.

I have yet to try the brown label...but black label is a very good cigar (if a bit overpriced)...the red label doesn't do much for me in the way of taste...but it sure burns well.

Must be nice to buy blacks at a B&M. Where are you getting them before you get a Brown?

i gravitate to noellas and tainos depending on my available time
"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

I just got done with one of my Noellas with about 6 months age on it and man was it great. Only have 5 more left so I will have to pick up some more here soon.
Compliments of Cryann I just smoked my first Tat Petite Brown. What an awesome full flavored smoke. Only drawback is I wanted to smoke it for another hour but I guess thats the point of its size.
