Anybody ever smoked a "Gurkha Legend" ?

CI has a deal on these cigars, & I don't want to waste my money. I have seen these selling at high prices on the internet ,but thats all I know.

I've smoked three different types of Gurkha cigars and I've thought all three of them were harsh, hot, and generally did not taste all that great. I'd say for any amount of money, there are better cigars around.

Same here, haven't smoked the Legend but have smoked other Gurkha's and they didn't taste the greatest, very harsh, quite char-like.

They retail at around 17-20 bucks a pop. If you like the taste of hay and mud, give them a shot! (Not a big fan...) Big Grin Wink

I like the gurkha line. most anyway. I cant stand the sherpa. thats the worst cigar. The legend is a smooth flavorful amd creamy cigar, "IF" you let it sit for a month or more after you receive it. When I got my first order in, I smoked one right away. bad mistake. I got the same add you got on that special. jump on it quick!! The 5 packs on cbid go for around 40 bucks!! so this is a steal. If you get them, and let'em sit, you'll be thanking me later. I promise.

Is this the 2 bundles of 6 Aniversario Legends for $40???? I just hopped on that deal Friday after getting the e-mail about it. They have a 1 order limit though. I enjoyed the only Legend I've tried so far and that stick cost me around $14 so this deal is smokin.

I have tried two differant lines of Ghurka cigars...one I didn't care for the other is one of my favorites...Its the Ghurka Masters Select...nothing harsh about it, it is strong though.

I thought it was decent but nothing to get excited about especially for their price.

To follow up...just smoked a gurkha legend.

Strong cigar for my newbie blood. I like the medium wrapper better though. Dark cigar. Heavy leather + charcoal-ley finish. Would be good with a Orion beer (my favorite). I got a 12 pack from CI when they ran a special. Good cigar, but there are better out there for the money with more complex flavors...again...heavy leather w/charcoal finish. A bit dull.

I got 2 orders of those 12 cigar specials from CI and also box of Gurkha Expedition. I spent $175.00. Don't like them. I think it was Regent, not Legend. I have one Legend, but I didn't smoke it yet. Somebody told me to keep them for a couple of weeks in humidor before smoking. If they don’t improve, I have to start giving them away one by one, to make space inside my humidor.
I think some of the Gurkha’s made in DR and some in Honduras. I am not big fan of Honduras cigars. The ones I tried seems like all have harsh taste. But hey, it’s just my opinion.
