Royal Jamaicas are dog rockets son, where they make them really doesn't matter. I mean if the dog makes dog rockets on the west end of the yard AND on the east end of the yard, they both are still dog rockets.
At one point they WERE made in Jamaica, along with Macanudo and others. The Unions in Jamaica were too greedy and forced all of the cigar companies out, so now Royal Jamaicas are made in DR.
BTW they use Indonesian, Jamaican and Mexican tobaccos, none of which are considered very desirable. Put this Jamaica Royal nonsense out of your head and post a question about good inexpensive cigars. Your palate will thank you!
i however do not. i thought they werent very good.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries. -David Savona

quote:Originally posted by chilled: The guy asked where they were made, Not, how they taste or are the dog rockets or not. I now have begun to see the pattern of this forum. It was nice to read for awhile but, now, it';s time to move on. If members in this place began to treat one another w/ respect it might become what it was. Quit flaming one another and each others tastes.
And your name is Chilled! LMFAO! You better reread your post Chilly Willy because your coming off as a Jack@$$! No body flamed no one in this thread dude, they were mearly stating their opions. I didnt see Piller get mad either, he noticed they werent flaming him but were describing how they felt about Royal Jamaican cigars. Get a life and good ridance!

People here prefer to be cigar critics as opposed to cigar aficianados. There is no question that the royal jamacians have not lived up to the history the brand has had, but the new versions are not dog rockets by any stretch.
Stogemiester, Your correct, I did come off as a Jack%$#%%, hence I erase my quote and bow out. I Think Syrinx put what I meant better, and I thank him.
