I've noticed a lot of new posters looking for decent cigars on a budget lately and thought I would post this little conversion chart that NMCowboy posted a while back.

A great list to have, but I have a question regarding the #17. I've ordered them in the past and they came with ERDM wrapping. This was about a year ago, did the #17 change?
Thanks for the list. I've been reading posts about these for some time now, and put my first order in today. If their half as good as I've read, I'm sure I'll be hooked. As a college student, my cigar budget is quite lower then it should be, but these seem to fit in it.
The two bundles of #14 maduro I received from JR a couple weeks ago are just fantastic! I usually like the Punch line and the Hoyos (and have several boxes), but these are close, very close (OK, so I don't have a sophisticated palate). I know the complaints about the consistency and draw are well founded, but for the price, I have no problem just "chuckin' it" if the draw "ain't there"(which I've yet to have happen). Conversely, I do feel very ripped off if the Hoyo or RyJ or (insert high-priced premium brand here) does not function at a level that at least allows me to draw the smoke from the cigar (have had this happen quite a few times). I have tried untold premium brands at the behest of experienced friends, and gained much insight reading these posts, but in the end, it's about taste and satisfaction. IMHO the connies deliver!

Take for instance the #10. Does that mean that the 5X41 PUNCH London club and HDM Sabrosos are really the same cigar with a different band, or are they just close enough that they can be called the same thing as a second? The same would go for any other number where there is more than one match.

Connies are seconds from the Villazon Factory so they could be seconds of any cigar they make basically. Both HDM and Punch are made there and both have a cigar that matches that size. I don't think this list is absolute, I think it's just the best matches from Villazon.
I realize that connies are seconds (perhaps in name only)
My question was was more about the firsts than the seconds.
If a specific connie relates to two or more cigars, (as most do) are the two cigars (as a first) identical except for the bands? There are some connies listed that have the same length and ring size as others, so numbering is not just based on those two factors.
