I don't know about you, but I've noticed a ton of cigars here lately coming out of Nicaragua claiming to be that country's pride and joy, true puros rolled on the thighs of the most beautiful nicaraguan women. But for $2 a smoke, you cannot beat a La Finca. You don't hear much talk in cigar reviews of "aftertaste", but this cigars left a taste in my mouth of a natural sweetness that makes you want to light up another. You can buy them for around $40-$50 a box and they are a good "stand-by/go-to" smoke, I've aged some for 3 years now and they get better and better...trust me.
You gotta start somewhere right?? Give me your address in Cali and I'll send you a box of cookies for your 1,386 posts. I guess I'm too busy visiting cigar shops and out smoking cigars rather than sitting around commenting to every single new post made.....
That's good news because at least we know that can't get any worse.[/QUOTE]
Don't want to mis-lead you, the first few I had right out of the box were really good. It didn't take 3 years of aging for me to like them. Though it doesn't hurt
hmmm, your first post is praising a cheap, unknown cigar that no one on this board probably has tried. But your claim makes it seem great. Sounds like a marketing ploy to me. Maybe you are being genuine, but with this kind of marketing ploy happening dozens of times on this board it's hard to trust you. If you are a rep, just go ahead and confess that you are, send people some samples, be honest, and we'll do the same. If it's a quality cigar it doesn't need advertising once people try it and like it, just look at Tatuaje.

Welcome to the forums..Please forgive a lot of the attitudes here if you're not a shill.. We get too many newbie posting cigar snake-oil salesmen. I'll give it a try next time I'm at J&Rs. But first let me ask you this.. What is your Top 5 (in order) favorite non-cubans and why? Where would you rank the La Finca among those 5 named? LOL Just trying to see if we have similar taste before spending on possible doggie poo

I remember smoking these about 10 years ago. Red band. Got them from either JRs or Holts. My tastes have changed, but they were not bad for the price. Below 2 bucks a cigar if I recall.
In heaven there ain't no beer, that's why I drink it here.

La Finca is an old brand. Been discussed plenty of times here in the past. La Finca were always known for being a bit better than they were priced.

Pretty much every cigar review we write discusses aftertaste, although we call it the "finish," as in the last component of the flavor structure. People commonly mistake our usage of the word "finish" for the final puffs of the cigar before it is done. Finish is basically the aftertaste.

I've smoked La Finca many times and he is correct, they are a decent every day stick or yard gar if you will. I find they mellow with age and get a nice sweet/spice and cedar flavor. There are many worse cigars for far more money.

No marketing ploy here, just letting everyone in on a decent smoke, didn't know La Finca was discussed heavily here. My top 5 is:
1) Ashton Heritage Belicoso NO. 2 (smoked one in myrtle this year from a tinder box, thought it was the best cigar I've ever had) 2) La Gloria Serie R NO. 5 (bought one at JR's because I really liked the la gloria smokes, if you're a big ring gauge fan then these are right up your alley) 3) Romeo y Julieta Aniversario Toro (first premium cigar I ever smoked, recommended by a local dealer/friend....cigar that got me smoking) 4) Gurkha Marqueza Perfecto (just recently bought a box of these and I'm in love with them, can't wait to see how they are after some aging) 5) Montecristo Double Corona (No special edition or exclusive line from montecristo, just a plain ole double corona, these are great cigars that never disapoint.)
Thanks for those who understood my initial post on La Finca, I'm not Frank Llaneza or Nestor Plascencia...just a proud dad that likes a good smoke.

I love the La Finca's Robusto. It is a all Nicaraguan Puro. But I love Nicaraguan tobacco. I would have to say over the years I have smoked more La Finca's then any other cigar brands. JR a couple times a year puts them on sale and I order a couple of boxes each time.
But I am a cheap cigar whore...
Thanks for sharing.

People "rag" on this brand a lot because someone somewhere at some time called La Finca "La Stinka" and the nickname caught on. But this brand proves that you can still buy a good cigar at a nominal price. To my knowledge, it is by far the largest volume hand made, long filler cigar made in Nicaragua. And... believe it or not, the La Finca Corona alone, 5.5 in x 44 ring, a size that is no longer a favorite of todays cigar smokers, sells well over a million units a year !
