I've recently tried the Ashton Heritage and the Ashton VSG (belicosos)and they were both great. I like the Heritage much better, but it seems like the VSG is more popular with a lot of folks here. And a few people said they straight out hated the Heritage.

Pick up any ashton you want and you won't be disappointed. They are truly a cut-above most other cigars. The construction is superb and they burn perfect almost every time. The cigar that got me hooked on cigars was the ashton classic corona. Since then I have tried all the other lines and I still come back to the classic corona when I want to reminisce. If you want something mild pick up something from the classic or cabinet line. If you want something stronger pick up a VSG.

Ashton Cabinets and Maduros are both great, mild-medium cigars. The VSG's are by far their best offering, but it's at the higher end of the strength spectrum.
Ashton Puro Sol corona gorda or robusto is one of my favorite NCs right now. A little sweeter and milder than the VSG, and a bit more consistent and flavorful than the Cabinet. Beautiful white ash on this cigar
I much prefer the VSG's over everything else Ashton offers. Not that they are bad, I just think the VSG is far superior. But then again I prefer a more full bodied smoke.

If you are looking for a mild-medium smoke, I'd reccomend the maduro. I've found the natural offerings (a conn shade, I believe) to be rather boring. Of course, I usually smoke rather full-bodied cigars. The maduro, while still mildish, has a decent amount of flavor and complexity to it. The only time I smoked VSGs were a few years ago and I loved them, but I wouldn't classify them as mild or medium bodied. I haven't tried the Heritage so I have no comment.

Mr smokerman - I somewhat agree. But sometimes I am in the mood for something mild and ashtons fit the bill. I am not saying that they could hold their own against very many full bodied cigars IMO but against ANY mild connecticut shade wrapped cigar I will take the asthon ever time. Davidoff is maybe the only exception but at almost half the price, ashton is fine by me.

PSU I highly recommend their sampler so you can get a taste of everything they have to offer......If I had to smoke only 1 brand ashton would be it......the cabinets and classics are a great mild smoke and the VSG's are a nice full bodied smoke......the whole line is great and they're consistency is unmatched by ANY other brand on the market.......I've smoked prolly a dozen boxes of prime ministers over the years and have NEVER had a plugged stick.......maybe luck but im impressed

Thanks for the advice. I tried a Classic and a Cabinet. I think I preferred the Classic. It was a superb smoke, smooth, creamy, and flawless draw. The ash was even pretty.
