I got a few from my local BM, I was talking with the owner and I asked him if they are going to be making the 80th for a while and he said they are. It will be interesting to see how prices come down.

Since my initial post on this thread I've now smoked six 80ths from three different boxes. My opinion of the cigar improved with each one I smoked. It is a fantastic smoke, a cigar that smokers with a discerning palate and an appreciation for a complex, full flavor profile will really enjoy. It's not for the price conscious, those who prefer lighter cigars, or those still developing their palate.
Although I first would not have agreed with CA, I now think their 95 rating is about right, especially when compared to their recent ratings of other cigars.
I purchased a box of 80th Padron when they first came out(a little pricey for non-cubans).. I smoked one immediately, then put the rest away. Took one a couple weeks later, was considerably better. Then, a month later smoked another. And this one was even better. Its a quality smoke. pricey, but when it comes to fine smokes, money is no object. Sorry Padron- You are not even close to a Quality Cuban

My local B&M can get all the 80th Padron's I want...I mean all I can afford in both the Maduro and the Natural. I've been paying $25.69/stick including tax and so far I've picked up 4 Maduro and 2 Naturals. Tried the Maduro the other night and thought it was a fantastic cigar, even after I smoked a LFD DL Lancero first. Finished the night off with my first RASS and that was fantastic too! What a night!

I picked up a few 1926 #35's today for 11.50. Sounded like a good price to me. And I definitely do not agree that there are "many way better cigars for the price". These are spectacular cigars. At least at the price that I get them at.
I continue to be surprised at the number of people who just don't "get it" when it comes to Padron cigars. Some (whose loyalty seems bound to Opus or Cuban cigars) even go so far as to disparage them. Perhaps their palates just aren't quite suited to the Padron taste.
As home to most of the major domestic market cigar companies South Florida has the best (and most affordable) stock of premium cigars in the U.S. We in South Florida know cigars, and we love our Padron 26s and 64s. The 80th, at $25/stick and $200/box, is one of the biggest sellers in terms of volume down here (as are the other Padron anniversarys) at the three cigar shops I frequent, even though they are expensive.

With all due respect, I do like padrons alot, and rate them as one of the best NCs around, but there are better CCs out there especially for the $$.
Sounds like you have a bargain where you are. It is hard to find an 80th for less than $30.00 US online and in Canada they are $100.00 if you can find one.
I can get 3 Cohiba siglo IIIs for that or 1.5 esplendidos/siglo VIs and they are wicked.

I just smoked a couple more Padron 80th maduro out of a box a friend from the states sent me.He got them from Famous he paid $240 a box. They are impossible to find in Europe.Great construction and wrapper 1st class draw and burn.I just cant figure out what all the fuss is about it was a good cigar. One dimensional like all Non Cubans there is no pre light aroma like a Cuban cigar. No changing of flavors like a Cuban cigar. All the things that make Cuban cigars so great.I have been smoking Cuban only cigars for so many years all of these differences stick out like a sore thumb.I mean it was a nice change of pace cigar but i would not could not smoke these on a daily bases. And these you all say are the best cigars Padron makes i am glad i live in Europe and have access to Cuban cigars.

It is your opinion that premium Padrons are not as good as Cuban cigars (in general). Which I find ridiculous. How can you compare one NC to a whole genre of cigars?
I hate to say it but I think that many NC are as good or better than CC. I have smoked many CC including Cohibas, Monti, Vegas Robinas, and Partagas. Padrons and Tatuajes are among the best if not better.
I think due to the isolation and lack of technology, CC have fallen behind.
