Anyone have any thoughts on these cigars? I was able to pick up three of these at Holt's while I was in Philly this past weekend. They were slightly on the expensive side so I am hoping they are worth it. They are resting in the humi right now.
I will say that they are probably one of the best constructed cigars I have seen. The wrappers are silky smooth with almost no veins and it has what appears to be a nice little triple cap on it. The three I got were robustos.

Yesterday I lit a maduro robusto and it was plugged( pretty pathetic for a 25.00 cigar), I then lit my other maduro robusto and it was boring, mild and tasteless. Luckily they were given to me, I would be really pissed if I had paid for it.

A few weeks ago I smoked a churchill size in natural and it was pretty much like the robusto, mild and boring. I cannot believe they are charging 25.00 for a 3 dollar cigar.

I have had the Robusto and the Salomone in natural. They were all very good smokes, but not on the strong side. It's hard to describe these smokes because they smoke differently depending on how strong you puff on them. For example, puff it slowly and taking your time, you'll be rewarded with a very nice creamy, buttery flavor. Puff it a little bit quicker and harder, the flavors begin to open up more and a nice spice comes in. It's such a shame that they are priced so high.

Didn't realize they were so mild. I probably should have looked into them more before I bought them. But, since they are so hard to find I had to buy them. Plus, Holt's had a special - buy 3 and get one free.

I do tend to smoke quicker so hopefully the spice will come in (as InfrnalSky described it).

These come in a maduro? Never seen a maduro in the line. Best with at least 12 months of age and I say that having smoked close to three boxes of the DC size. Great smokes.

I smoke Davidoff Aniversario's, Diamond Crown Naturals, Ashton Cabinets on a regualr basis, at least one a day of those three. They are my first cigar of the day with my morning coffee. I fully appreciate a mellow, buttery, creamy cigar.

These Silvio's are none of that. They are more like a bland tasteless Macanudo. I have never seen a bigger rip off other than maybe a Pinar.

A buddy of mine sent me one that he got from the latest RTDA convention! It's a nice looking, monster of a cigar; about 7 1/2 inches long! I happen to see one in CA that was reviewed and they had it listed for $22!!!! Eek

Of the few I have had of these they have been very nice, mild smokes with hint of spice. The burn was great and never had to be touched up. For the money is it worth it, absolutely not. There are better mild/medium smokes out there for the money. I'd rather have a Torano Reserva Selecta than spend $20 on one of these. If you are after a mild smoke, then go for a Reserva Selecta, Casa Torano, or Perdomo La Tradicion Champagne...all are better smokes for the money with a little more taste to them.
