I saw on cigar.com a listing of these for $50ish a piece with no pic.

Is this simply some older VSG which isnt boxpressed? I'm wondering because I bought the last one in a box the other day and it is the only one of my VSGs that isn't boxpressed.

Just wondering if I am completely wrong, or if I found something worthwhile

? Confused ? What are the dimensions of this cigar? The VSG Wizard 37 is a 6x56 Toro that isn't box pressed, but I've never heard of it being called a "round."

Thats the link to where it is referring to some kind of "round" ashton.

Thanks for the clarification Minal.

Some sellers still have old stock of the first VSG release, all of which were not pressed.

In the current line, Wizard is the only vitola not pressed.

By the way, VSG is trunk pressed, not box pressed. Trunk pressing is when the cigars are pressed before being boxed -- as with Cuban cigars. This results in a gentle press. VSG, Pardon Anniversary, CAO Cameroon, etc. are all trunk pressed wet at the factory before being packaged for a sharper-edged, more squared apperance.

Oh, and $50 a stick is a rip. Check Holt's they will sell you 10 a month. You can find full boxes too if you are interested. My cigar buddy has a full box of wizards, which frankly has a tangible cool factor. They are expensive and for a box of 37 or however many are in there makes it a nearly $500 box.

Also, I'd try smaller sizes of VSG first. The wizard is good, but not the best of the line IMO. There are about 10 different sizes, and so far my favorite is Corona Gorda, of which I have a full box. The smaller ring gauge allows you to focus more on the wrapper flavor which is the key to the VSG experience.
