As some of you already know, I am now in Riyadh, KSA. I have payed a visit to LCDH today, it was a long walk to the place but it was well worth it. First of all, I had a low budget. I was planning on something not more than $20-$30. I did not have any Cubans in mind of course.

They were having a cleaning day so most of the stuff wasn't available. The only things available were Davidoffs, La Flor Dominicanas, and these two: La Unica and Alteza. La Unica is Dominican and Alteza is Nicaraguan. I though I might as well give them a try, specially with the low price tag they had.

Here is their photo.

What do you think about these two? I have read a good review for the Alteza, but can't find anything on La Unica other than it's from Fuente.

Oh, and please, before someone pokes fun at me. I am still a starter with low budget, so I can't afford the extravagant stuff you guys afford. Please don't make fun of my precious buys! Smile

La Unica is made by the Fuente family. Sometimes rated as mild, usually does pretty well in CA magazine ratings. I enjoy the cigar. Creamy, nice smoke, good taste. You cannot beat the price for the quality of smoke. Always constructed well and all of them I have smoke are pretty consistant. I believe La Unica was originally created as a premium hand made Fuente family cigar that was going to be sold as a budget bundle. Do to their success, I believe they are sold boxed now and are well regarded.
