"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

News is the shipment never got shipped. Word on the skreet is the Opus will be a 3 times event not 4 times.
This is not a problem to me, heck I wouldn't care if it was a once a year event like the Anejo as long as they spread the wealth on the sizes. We are getting fairly screwed in my area with little sizes.

Are production quantities being cut down too?

My local B&M told me that I would be put on a waitlist and expects them to be in the 20-30 dollar per stick range depending on size, he said they should be here in a month or so but there's no telling. I think I'm just going to forget about the opus for now they are way too much and you can't even get them even if you are willing to pay the heavy price

dstokely, that's crap. One local shop where I buy OpusX sells the #5 for about $11 and the Robusto for about $14! I know them well, and as long as I don't push my luck, they don't limit me. I usually buy five at a time.

Man how do you guys find such cheap opusX? This is the link to the robusto selling for 28 bucks and it is out of stock http://www.showmeyourash.com/product_info.aspx?pid=2084 And this is the only freaking place where I can find them so far. All the other places are always out of stock

You need to find a local B&M that is an authorized dealer and get them to call you when the opus comes in. They are required to sell at msrp, so that will fix the price problem. Many stores limit the quantity you can purchase, so you'll have to deal with that.

Authorized dealers are required to sell at msrp, but yes taxes will naturally alter that price. But if your in an area with $40 opus then all your other cigars should be about twice the normal rate also if taxes are to blame.

Thanks for the reply guys I will go ahead and find an authorized dealer. And to what bamawrx said, I live in Texas and I believe we have one of the lower taxes in the nation so it's just retailers jacking up price. Well I just looked around on google and I couldn't find a way to get a list of the official retailers. Can anyone give me the link to that? Thanks
