I need help picking a really nice thank you gift for my cousin who loves cigars. Of course, I know nothing about them so I have no idea what to get. Any suggestions? A box of something or several different ones?
If you know nothing about cigars, I suggest you not buying cigars as a gift. Get him a lighter, cutter, or some other cigar accessories might be a better idea.
Cigars are as wide and varied as wines. So it probably isn't the best idea to grab a box of something he may not like. Not knowing your budget or how much time you are inclined to spend doing your research, I suggest you go to this link and getting The Showstopper. All fantastic, high-end smokes. Holt's, like several other cigar sites, have all kinds of samplers for sale. If you can find out what he likes likes, all the better.

Kinda of hard to guess what to buy your cousin. Depends on price and what they smoke. Padron 1964's would be great but a box isn't cheap. Ashton VSG's, also very nice but not too cheap. Tatuaje's are nice but still talking around $200 and up for a box of brown labels. I know I'd love a nice table lighter since it seems my small lighters only last for one or two smokes before I have to refill. That or a nice double blade cutter.

wow with a limit like that he is sure to be happy, ah and asking his wife should make it easier to make some suggestions.
Good Luck

The way I see it. It's the thought that counts. The fact that you are trying to please him is great. I wouldn't buy a box but get him several different cigars like Padron Anniv Series 26 (#9) or 64. He may like La Flor Dominicana Factory Press or Camacho 10th Anniv. Can't go wrong with VSGs (they don't have VSGs though). Try tampahumidor.com they have excellent prices on singles, boxes, and accessaries. If you call ask for Nancy, she is nice and helpful. With a $400 limit you can do alot (buy cigars and accessaries ) Have fun.
