I did a search but didn't find anything on these.

A friend suggested them. I found mixed reviews online. Anyone have any experience?

this is one of General Cigars attempts to copy a Cuban brand and make something of it,but it just hasn't worked out. It tastes nothing like the rich Cuban cigar it robs its name from. I find the NC Ramon Allones to be very bland tasting and just not worth the money when you do find them. Anything in the Torano line is a better smoke in my opinion.

This brand actually wasn't stolen from Cuba but belonged to the Cifunetes family as was Partagas. Genral cigar bought the rights from the Cifuenetes family therefor it belongs to General Cigar. The New Ramon Allones were re blended a few years ago with a Domincan wrapper a first for General. They are pretty good medium to full body cigar and are wrapped in cedar sleeves. JR cigar has them for 49.95 a box. Give them a try they do wonders with some age on them.
