If you're looking to try a Tat Dracula and Boris this year, AtlanticCigar.com has a 5-pack Tatuaje sampler for $48 or so that includes:

-1 Dracula
-1 Boris
-1 Cojonu 2003
-1 Regios
-1 Reserva J21

The Tatuaje sampler is NOT listed on their website as you have to call and ask for it. ONE per customer :P

thanks

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

I'm having all my non-cigar smoking friends place orders for me. They said supplies are very limited.

Damn, I should ask them for some sort of commission or something Smile

I wouldn't stop at their Tat sampler. They have some of the lowest prices I've seen on the net. You will have to call in a lot of cases and just because you don't see it on their site doesn't mean they don't have it.

Yes, some sites are cheaper when it comes to a few rarer brands. But all in all, I think they're top notch. Great service too. They have a wonderful B&M in Elmsford, NY too (one of my hometowns) with a lounge and everything.

Check them out!

You may want to ask if they're selling the Drac singles. They may have ran out of Cojonu's or Boris'.

They do pretty well with singles.

NM, I just called them. They don't even have singles.

They did take my name and Email address and said they'd shoot me an Email if they got a new "allotment" of them. So I guess you can cross your fingers and get in line if you want to wait.

I asked the familiar Atlantic Employee who answered if they recently got some calls regarding their Tat 5-packs. He said something along the lines of, "We've been pretty much getting calls about the Tatuaje 5-packs since we started answering our phones".

I ordered mine Saturday and then put this post up so I imagine they got some calls then as well as some messages.

BTW, if you leave them a message they're great at getting back to you. They're one of the few company I know I'll be getting a call back from.

I know our B&M here in Nashville (UPtowns) still has quite a few Dracs left. I picked up a two more yesterday to put back and at last count they had around 24 total left to spare. You may want to call and see if they'll ship out of state. I know they've done it in the past, but with something like this they may not be so willing.

A B&M here in Fall River, MA is selling the Drac's for $18 and change each. On the phone he said he had about 20-something left.

Even better. The shop I mentioned in Nashville is selling the Dracs for $12.69 a piece. Tey're out of the Boris, but were selling those at $11.00.

I ordered one of the sampler packs this morning, sounds like I may have gotten one of the last ones. Thanks Robuster for the tip. I still hoping to get a few more. I'd like to be able to at least smoke one and save one or two.

My pleasure. From the 2009 non-Cuban Wishlist post, I knew a ton of you guys were itching (to say the least) to try some Tat's.

I've never had a Tat seasonal either but I'm a big fan of the White Label (Series P) and the Red Label (Havana IV) is growing on me.

I'm still dying to try some in the Brown Label. I'll be getting some in the 5-pack but not the cannon I want.

So I got my first 5-pack yesterday...and threw them immediately in my humidor.

Only one of the friends was able to grab another pack for me. I should have waited a little longer to make this post Smile

To age or smoke...ugh.

The Boris looks very nice and the Drac appears to be perfect as some people have been finding them damaged. I think the Scoop section of the Tatuaje site was only referring to damaged cigars being found in the (tainted) Coffins.

I think the Cojunu or Regios will be burned first...

*EDIT* If you didn't get a 5-pack or want another, don't despair as Atlantic is hoping to get more. Leave your name and Email address with them and they will hit you up if more come along.

Smoked the J21 yesterday. I had eaten dinner about 20 minutes prior and was ready for some nicotine (I smoke cigarettes too). Dinner is followed by a Cigar though, not a cigarette.

The wrapper, blend, and even pre-lite draw had me expecting something peppery, spicy and full.
After smoking it, I felt...a bit let down.

It was a very well crafted smoke from (triple?) cap to foot. It burned evenly and smelled great. However, it was milder than I expected. Instead of peppery and spicy, I got earthy and a bit of leather. I'm not saying in any way that it was a bad cigar. I enjoyed it all the way to my hot finger tips. It just caught me off guard.

I guess I just went into smoking it with different expectations. I'll sample the Regios tonight most likely. Now that I know what to expect, I think I'll be able to appreciate the Brown Label a bit more.
