I like El Rey Del Mundo Robusto and Onyx.

Good cigars for the price. There are other ones out there for cheaper that you might want consider as well such as Flor De Oliva.

With my taste the above brands are my cheap everyday maduros.

The FDO bundled maduros, the Oliva "O" bold Maduros, Padron 3KM's, and of course the little Chateau Fuente Maduros are all good everyday smokes as far as maddies go that won't break the bank

Why would you discriminate against all the natural cigars? Bigotry at it's finest. Also, the expensive cigars need love too...I don't know, I guess if you're looking for a good dark everyday cigar, try backwoods.

I am not trying to discriminate against the natural cigars I have smoked quite a few good naturals, I just like the taste of a maduro, I think it has a little more subtle flavors than a natural. If you have any good suggestions for a natural everyday smoke I will be more than happy to try them.

Padrons, Camchos, Torano sig, and LGC serie R are great maduros. I disagree that the maduros are more subtle though. Some of them can be over-the-top with candy-like sweetness. I like the naturals because they seem much more understated and to some extent complex to me. They don't bowl you over with sugary window dressing.

The Exodus Golds have a good "maduro flavor" but the wrapper burns like crap. That doesn't stop me from smoking them from time to time Big Grin but there are deffinitely better burning cigars out there. If you want a sweeter flavor, another option is the Padilla maduro. I personally can't stand them but some people like 'em.

By affordable...I usually think that they want to keep the cost down below $4 or so, which is why I made the suggestions I did. I like a good Maduro once in awhile, and I thought of another one that you could try gunner, you may have to mail order some, but they are about the same price as the FDO bundles mail ordered. Try the Nestors Reserve torpedos, they are a really dark, excellent tasting maduro and can be had for under $2.50 apiece if you buy a box of 25. I smoke these once in awhile, but lately have been smoking more of the Alec Bradley Ovation maddies and the Oliva "O" bold maddies

Tabacalera Tropical's Factory Direct maduro's run about 1.50 a stick, and they are a little stronger than the FDO maddies. All long filler with a very nice Maduro wrap

at $3.50 per stick (holts.com, etc) the chateau fuente (sun grown for me - they come in maduro and natural as well) is hard to beat

I second/third the FDO Maddies...one of the best deals for the $$, but like Bluesky, I think the Nestor Reserve Maduros are even better (I think it's the Cameroon binder...adds a lot more complexity to the profile). For another buck-a-stick...the Chateau Fuentes are unbeatable (though I prefer the Sungrowns myself also).

Another excellent and affordable "under the radar" bundle (IMHO) are the Flor de Ybor City Maduros (made by Fuente)...available at Tampa Sweethearts: http://www.tampasweetheart.com/
(try a sampler pack...for $10 you can try a few different examples)

Enjoy
Cool

I second the vote for Padron 3000, and even better 6000. As a cheaper alternative, my smoke shop suggested the Savinelli Nic. Reserve Maduro. Pretty close to the Padron's.
