All of the series G that I've had have been box pressed. The torpedos and robustos. They are good cigars for the price. I am going to get some more. I also like the series O maduro and the V double robustos and toros. Torpedos are hard to come by around here.
I too am a big fan of the Oliva Cigars. My favorite are the serie V but since they hard to get I bought a box the G line belicosos a week or so ago. The g's are great.
I personally hated the box pressed Serie G that I had, and I was excited about it. I think it might have been because it had a beetle in it, because I saw on fly out when I lit it. Either way it wasn't my taste.

I have a 5er of the box pressed belicosos and like them alot. But then again I like all Oliva's. But I do like the feel of box pressed.
No matter where you go or what you want to do....there will always be something or someone in the way.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

I would say these aren't just good ciagrs for the price, they're good cigars Period! I smoke a lot more CC's than NC's, but when I do reach for an NC, a lot of the time it's an Oliva G (the natural belicoso is my favourite).
The Oliva G Robusto is my everyday go-to smoke. It's a great smoke, and you just can't beat it for the price. Heck, I'd rather have a Special G than an AFH Short Story most of the time.
So many cigars, so little time...

I always have some of these in my humi. i'll usually grab a few torpedos (Naturals) of the Series G whenever i go to my local Stoge shop. Takes about an 1-1/2 inches or so into the cigar before it to opens up. like most Olivas i have been smoking as of late, this stick is another great bargain. Could perhaps be a higher priced cigar for the value and pleasure it brings.
Series G Rocks!!!!
EURO 2008 CHAMPS = SPAIN
VIVA ESPAÑA
My Top five: 1. Montecristo #2 2. Diplomaticos #2 3. Vegas Robaina Únicos 4. Rocky Patel Decade Toro 5. Oliva Series V Torpedo
I was at an Oliva event yesterday and the G robusto was one of the tops. I always liked Oliva's line of cigars and the G has surpassed the H.Upmann vintage Cameroon as my fav Cameroon. It does seem to be the most flavorfull Cameroon wrapped cigar lately. Good call Fazzuki.
