Has anyone tried the SRO's that they are offering in the current JR's catalog for $5 with the purchase of another box? I was thinking of ordering a box of Partagas and $5 doesn't seem too bad for another box of 20.

They are some of the worst things I ever had. Very harsh and bitter. Not even worth $5 for 20, and that's bad.

I tried an SRO about 2 months ago and thought they were an ok smoke. I'm thinking about getting the Partagas Black w/ the SRO's.

Sorry to say this, please take no offence, but those are now two of the worst smokes I ever had.
Sorry Wink

I bought a box of the SROs when they were first introduced. They were very harsh and bitter at first, but after 6 months in the humi the ammonia taste was gone.

The only problem is that after the ammonia taste left the cigar, there was no taste at all! One of the most bland, weak and flavorless things I have ever smoked.

Apparently they were suppose to be reblended, so I would be interested in trying the new blend. If you ask me, Lew oughta send us guys that bought the original POS SROs a free 5 pack of the new blend!

Half the reason you buy cigars at JR's is to get the bonus sticks at a discounted price! That's half the fun. I passed on a purchase lately simply because the bonus sticks were the SRO's. NFC's blow these out of the water.
