I know, it's early to start getting excited, but... anybody hear any news about new unveilings at his years RTDA?
Here are some I've heard of so far:
Padilla Miami Blend (got a sample from Ernesto, can't wait to try it!)
K. Hansotia (I saw something on CBid for a Triple Ligero, then nothing more - if this is true, this could be a ridiculosly strong smoke!)
Castle Hall by Torano (what's up with these? I got a five pack of the "advanced release", it has K. Hansotia on the label, and the folks at Gurkha deny it's existence. weird)
It isn't open to the public is it? I would love to go but I believe you have to be in the business. I could be wrong on that. Brent, how you getting in? I would love to fly out to new orleans for that. If someone can post the date and I can find out how to get in, I might just do that.

it's sometime in late sept. I believe. a friend of mine owns a shop, and she ended up with an extra ticket, so she asked me to go with her. In return, I'm going to show her the city.

That is gonna be crazy fun! My 20th college reunion is in NOLa this October. I should purposefully mess up the dates and go to the RTDA instead! I could give you the crime-scene tour of New Orleans! Bullet holes and all!

Well, my reunion is in October, but I am still up in the air on it. The people I was closest to are undecided about going and I'm not sure it will be all that great a time. NOLa, however, has to be my favorite city in North America to eat and have fun in. I would be WAY open to jetting there for a weekend and hooking up with some of the gang here.

Oh, I can feel it coming together!!! PMP, what dates are you looking at. If we can put it on a calendar early, I'm 99% there.
TPSO, Can you imagine? Sitting around downing some oysters and beers and herfing with some of the fellas? Oh, that could be one sensational weekend! We could each bring some special cigars to share... I'll have my box of PAM pyramides by then.

yes, it would be nice. Oysters and beer. God's gift to man. PMP, you'd have it made. Andy and I know our way around that city. Some of the best sites and food in the country.

Here is the info on the RTDA. It is August 6-10th in NOLa. No way I can do August - even if it were accessible to the public. But I could definitely do late September or anytime in October or November.
