My B&M's allocation of Opus is arriving this Friday. He got (3) boxes and said one of them is the rare Petite Lancero. Its a (2) stick limit in total for the (3) boxes. I am not sure what the other boxes are yet but has anyone had the Petite Lancero and is it worth it? He usually charges MSRP so it should be a good deal.

I guess Opus is releasing some cigars around this time? Thanks for the heads up as I might swing by my local B&M.

I think any Opus is worth it if you can get it at MSRP. If not for smoking, it'll make a good trade piece. Also, petite lancero is a rare size now, so I'd get a few to try.

My B&M is in the Northeast area. Besides the Petite Lancero he is getting a box of Fuente Fuente and Perfexcion 4. So based on the (3) types what do you think I should get?

That all depends on your personal preference. Or better, get two of each on three different visits!

Personally, I'd get the Fuente Fuente since I'm biased towards corona gorda's.

I prefer the larger ring gauge in the Opus, but this is the new crop and (so we've been told) has the sweet balance of the earlier product back.

The limit 2 is a real problem. I'd buy the PL's first, and then visit regularly to purchase other sizes. The FF size is the most common I see around here in the SE.

The Petite Lancero has always been one of my favorite Opus Xs.

Yeah the PL is a fine smoke, but it is hard to go wrong with opus.

addison,
Very SE portion of the State. Actually, my Opus dealer is located in FL. I called him today to give him a heads up, so I really hope the opus delivery gets to him soon.

PL is one of the strongest in the OpusX lineup...#5 is the other strong one.

Personally they are just too strong for my taste...but lots of people love that size...no doubt for the cute pencil tip head.

LazyWeb: Is there a site I can look to see if any B&Ms in Washington are getting any?

Well my B&M's shipment arrived today and he actually let me get (2) of each. He also doesn't raise the price for his frequent customers so this again underscores the importance of getting to know your friendly B&M. Here is what I paid:

Petite Lancero $12.15 each
Perfecxion #4 $10.65 each
Fuente Fuente $11.55 each

I will probably go back in a few days if for some reason they have not been gobbled up.

I have had one of these cigars sitting in my humidor for about 4 months now. I bought another one yesterday(not the new shipment.) I am pretty excited to try one, but they need more time. I have smoked several varieties of Opus X before, but never the Petite Lancero. I really like the look of the Petite Lancero. I would like to pick up a couple of the new ones when my B&M gets them in.
