I had a Camacho 11/18 Liberty two weeks ago, it was sitting in the humi for a couple of months so i was really looking forward to it. I lit the bad boy up, nice perfecto shape... but the flavor was strange... what could it be i wondered? I carefully examined my cigar and noticed a little nub of something at the foot. Picked it out... and it was a huge stem the full lenght of the cigar! Needless to say i virtually ruined the cigar getting the stem out...

Fast forward one week. I decided to treat might self to a PAM 64 Principe (hey, i'm poor). Lit and and leaned back to enjoy my favorite smoke. Then i noticed something was a little off. Examined the cigar, what did I find? Another stem!!

Now granted, i understand every now and then you'll get a dud... but I have a PAM 26 and a coulpe of FFOX'x in the humi waiting... <eek>

Am i destined never to enjoy a super premium smoke?

that is strange........did you buy them on-line or at a local shop? I have never had that happen, only plugged smokes. I can't speak for all retail shops but my local guy has been more than willing to replace cigars for me that had problems.......if you did buy it locally you might ask.....it's worth a shot Wink

They were both purchased at local cigar shops.

Just based on the price of the smokes I think the shop could help you out in some way or another to make it right. If not, I would find another shop. Just my 2 cents.

But i can't blame the smokeshop, can I? ... they didn't put the stem in there. I think i just did something wrong to someone sometime in a former life... Wink

It might be worth a shot, but no I guess the shop can't be completely responsible. But I would be pissed.

Agreed that it is not their fault but I am sure that each vendor probably makes some sort of concession with the shop to handle cigar replacements for unusual circumstances.........just ask nicely......if that doesn't work then maybe you did do something in a previous life Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I had the same thing happen on my PAM 64 Principe. I was a little ticked.

bad luck man.......did you ever bring it the shops attention? I am telling you that most legit shops should work with you on things like this. It is a part of business and anyone paying retail prices for premium smokes should be taken care of. Retailers all know that they are battling the internet. One of the positives of buying from the retailer is the customer service. If they lose that then why buy from them.... Big Grin Big Grin
