i love the west coast, and had my own east/west challenge.......
i smoked the west, so far the best pepin ive had, next to his blue label, and then after a glass of water had an east coast........
i enjoyed the west much more, as the body had more flavor than the east, and was all around, a similar, but more tasty smoke than its eastern counterpart.......

I felt the same way. I think the thinner ring gauge on the west lets the wrapper play a bigger part in the overall flavor. I also, and maybe I'm wrong, think the percentage of ligero is greater in the west than the east.

I went to my local B&M on Saturday and to my surprise, they have a 50 cab of the West Side Verocu No. 1! These beauties have a dark and oily wrapper, probably the most oil I've seen on any cigars. The best part is that they only cost $9 each. I picked up two and will smoke them in a few days/weeks.

They're $10 or more everywhere else so that's a great deal. For that price, I'd grab a handful. Or better yet, ask if you can get a 10% box discount if you buy 20 or 25. That would be a steal and yes, the cigars are THAT good. Enjoy!
Was at Tatuaje headquarters on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles this past weekend and was told that this is it for the regionals, both east and west. Production has concluded, so my adivce to anyone is: if you see them, buy them. I walked out with some and they were real pretty. Always found them to be more graham-cracker-y then the rest of the Havana VI line. Sweeter, but a fun smoke.
That I did, ECord. Lit one up and right off the bat, chocolaty. Towards the end it turned into a minty leathery taste.
This cigar had one of the darkest, most oily wrappers I've seen. It glistened under the sun. I took it out 30 minutes before smoking to make sure the wrapper burns ok. It still took the wrapper a while to get started but after a few puffs, the cigar burned and drew like a dream. I can't say enough about the excellent construction as the cigar was very evenly packed.
I had this right after dinner, but still made me a bit woozy two hours after I was done with it. Great cigar!
Went back to the store since I haven't been in a cigar store for a while. Gotta have that smell of a roomful of cigars once in a while.
To my surprise, the West Side Verocu was behind a box of Havana VI's on the very bottom shelf. They're still selling for $9 each with 40+ still left in the box!
I'm saving my money for more CCs at the moment, but I'm seriously thinking about grabbing the entire box.... ahhhh decisions!
