Has anyone had a chance to smoke this line from Pepin?
I've smoked a few Churchills and they are outstanding IMHO. It is medium bodied but extremely complex. It is perfectly constructed and also performs flawlessly. It's rich and full of exotic spices with a creamy earthy undertone.
It picks up a peppery flavor towards the end with a perfect ballance of sweet wood.
This cigar keeps you interested as the flavors change throughout the smoke.
It's been a long time since I've tasted this much complexity in a NC.
It is box worthy for sure.
Try it friends.

I've been looking to try one of those. The Pepin hidden gem I have come to love is his house blend "El Rey De Los Habanos" in a red label. Very complex for a $5-6 cigar. I'll have to try a Vegas Cubanas and see how it is, they sound nice.

I'm on that deal as well. They are a pretty good smoke especially for three bucks a stick.

So which would you recommend, the 601 green label or the Vegas Cubanas? Have not tried either of them.

I'm smoking a Vegas Cubanas that littoines gave me tonight. The flavour is awesome but the draw is tight as hell. It's too bad, if draw is not perfect on a cigar I would rather it be too loose not too tight.

Hi
The few I have tried are good but not as good as many of Pepins other offerings.

Sorry I sent you a dud JWeb. Usualy Pepin made cigars have a flawless draw. There is always a dud in a batch. I hope you enjoy the other's.
Yeah, there is nothing worse in cigars than a bad draw. I end up tossing them.

I just tried a torpedo and loved it. Very nice all the way down and remained smooth till the end. IMO they taste similar to the El Rey De Los Habanos - red house label for Pepin's factory. Nicely priced and Pepin to the core.

It's not your fault, you didn't roll it. Smile The bad-a$$ Cuban classic that you sent me is smoking like a champion and more than making up for the VC. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the VC are great cigars. Mine tasted great it just had a pretty tight draw.
