Stogie-dude, First of all, check the size of the cigars; not TT size. If (and I stress "if") they were a large churchill size, I might have bitten on it. As it is, there was no temptation! But THANKS for thinking of me! NOT!

I think we all should have realized this is a dog rocket when the only good thing he can say about them is that they are good for when you are mowing the lawn and when you are passing out cigars to those you despise.
I did like the picture of the can. It said something about cigars not being healthy but not as bad for you as bacon.

Gotta give 'em credit-- this is something I never would have thought of in a thousand years. Now is the paint can cedar-lined? Given that these cigars were made during the boom, to be sold in drug stores, I think I can pass on them without losing a whole lot of sleep over it

I'm a JR's junkie and even I chuckled at the paintcan cigars...I didn't bite, but it gave me an idea. A paint can in a carton would make a pretty indestructible container for trades and passes!
I'm not giving up on JR yet, but I do use mikescigars.com a lot lately! I still buy quite a bit from JR's. Howevery, things DO look a lot different lately.

I don't think the "gallon o' cigars" idea is *that* far away from things JR has done in the past (assuming that's what some of you are saying). I remember a few years back when they came out with a military-issue ammo box full of Belindas, with "HE-MAN" in stenciled letters on the lid (the box was at least cedar-lined!). The paint can idea isn't much cheesier than that.

Look at this. A couple weeks ago Stoge got reamed for saying JR's is turning to crap, now there's a whole thread agreeing on it.
I heard that the paint can, the one full of cigars, can, get this, double as a humidor! You just need to add your own spanish cedar and humidifying device and blamo, you've got yourself a designer humidor that would cost you around twenty dollars at the Home Depot (and you'd have to empty and clean it.) This beauty is perfect for the office or the garage!
hey, I agreed with Stoge. of course it seems we do that a lot

Thanks guys! One day people are ripping me a new $h!t hatch and then the next day their patting me on the back for the same thing. I guess they finally figured out the point I was trying to make.
