I don't think it's worth the price tag.

It's not that much better than the 1964 and the cost difference is much to high...IMO.

just age a box of 1964's.

Finally had one of these. Best smoke ever. I liked it better than the 40th 1926 Natural.

Price aside, a standout smoke. I've had a few and each has been perfect.A few notches above the 64 which I love also...Dave

olstogie,

Nothing beats smoking it for yourself. You would be hard pressed to find a bad cigar in the Pardon lines. The PAM/PAN '26 is a fine example of what a top shelf hidden box NC cigar can be. The PAM/PAN '64 comes close behind.

If you do a search you will find that these cigars have been reviewed repeatedly and always come out on top. Remember, the search feature is your friend.

Had one of these about a month ago. Very good, however not so very good on the wallet with the price tag of 14.00 a stick at the local shop. My favorite for the 26 serie is the #6 maduro.

Earl, I would have to respectfully disagree with ya here bro. I adore the '26's, and it's been my
experience, time after time mind you, that the '64's age very poorly. They are so well aged when you buy them, you need to smoke em up right away. The ones i've let lay around for extended periods of time, a year or more, seem to lose their flavor on the bedpost overnight...lol. Do you remember that song..."does your chewing gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost overnignt?" Who did that...anyone...anyone?

Oh well, nevermind...I digress, time and time again.

OMG!

DOES YOUR CHEWING GUM LOSE ITS FLAVOUR ON THE BEDPOST OVERNIGHT?
Based on the 1924 original by Ernest Hare & Billy Jones
"Does The Spearmint Lose Its Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight?
(Marty Bloom / Ernest Breuer / Billy Rose)

Lonnie Donegan - 1958

Also recorded by : Ding Dongs

Oh me oh my oh you
Whatever shall I do?
Hallelujah, the question is peculiar
I'd give a lot of dough
If only I could know
The answer to my question
Is it yes or is it no?

CHORUS:
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight?
If your mother says don't chew it, do you swallow it in spite?
Can you catch it on your tonsils, can you heave it left and right?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight?

Here comes a blushing bride
The groom is by her side
Up to the altar, just as steady as Gibraltar
The groom has got the ring
And it's such a pretty thing
But as he slips it on her finger
The choir begins to sing:

CHORUS

Now the nation rise as one
To send their wanted son
Up to the White House, yes, the nation's only White House
To voice their discontent
Unto the Pres-I-dent
The bonny burning question, What has swept this continent?
SPOKEN: If tin whistles are made of tin, what do they make fog horns
out of?
(2nd Voice: Boom! Boom!)

CHORUS

On the bedpost overnight
(2nd Voice: Hello there, I love you and the one who holds you tight!)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sat'day night!
On the bedpost overnight
(2nd Voice: A dollar is a dollar and a dime is a dime!)
He'd sing another chorus but he hasn't got the time!
On the bedpost overnight, yeah!

holy thread jack Batman!

anyway, for my money, both the PAN/PAM and the 1926 are way overpriced. don't get me wrong, good smokes in their own right, but to pricey for me. I'd rather smoke two or three of my favorites instead, JMO!

While digging in the humi yesterday for an afternoon smoke, I came across a 1926. all this time I thought it was an 1964 anni. Hmmm. I got it from a BOTL during a RATS a while back. I thought it was such a coinkidink that I was just commenting on their inflated price.

well...It was a small little gem, only reaching 3 3/4". not sure of the name of this vitola but right off the bat it gave an impressive aged flavor from the first touch of flame. However due to it's small size and effortless draw, I had to be careful so it wouldn't burn hot. very good flavor (even though all I tasted was hickory smoke) with a perfect razor sharp burn. It wasn't long enough to build any depth. not a bad smoke, but again, IMO, there's better out there.
