Smoked the holy lance after I grilled some jerk pork ,home made by the way. I really liked it. So far, out of the Illusiones that I smoked, mk was the best, followed closely by the cg4 and the hl, and a distant last was the 68.

Zman, I'm with you. I've got a stash of all that you mentioned plus ECCJ. Yum! How was that Pork?

Zman and Mbrody. I've only tried a HL, MK, and eccj and for me I'd have to say I prefered the eccj, but the HL was close behind.

I have a cg:4 and M7 to still try out.

Gonn, I'm enjoying a HL right now. I find that after you know each blend/size, you can maximize your enjoyment...tonight the HL is just what I was looking for in a smoke...

What's James talking about when he said ECEJ? Did he mean ECCJ or a new release from Dion?

May I suggest that you get rid od that sophomoric unoriginal nickname. I`m sure stud fits right in somewhere but not here.

They're that good huh? I guess Dion got it right when he said it's tempered for the European palate.

So has anyone else smoked the ECCJ? Is the blend similar to the MK and HL?

Extensioncord,

It is different in a good way. Creamier, more complex, different flavors...rich.

Tastes like some age could make it a real keeper. Think I need some more...

Thanks Brody. For reference, what do you normally smoke and what are some of your favorites?

Thanks, mbrody7903.

I just have to wonder whether it's the same blend and if the different sizes account for the difference in flavor. Since the ECCJ is a 46 ring and the MK and HL are around 42, that would make sense it terms of it being more complex and creamier.

Ladies and Gents, The ECCJ cigar tastes different. I don't think the regular blend and the eccj are similiar other than they both are great cigars with a great maestro at the helm.

The ECCJ is the same rough size as a cg4, they look the same other than wrapper color. The ECCJ does not taste like a CG4. In another reference of taste, I described it as combining the CG4/MK with an Oliva V.

I could almost also describe more of a raw tobacco flavor that seems as though another year or more would improve the complexity while bringing out some new flavors.

But then again, what the hell do I know? I just like cigars!

Not much of a drop-off from your special rotation to your normal rotation!

Jeez, I didn't realize that, but the special rotation is proabably 2x the price of rotation 1, and usually not as easy to come by. Life is too short to smoke cigars that you don't enjoy!

It was work, but it was fun as well. Hanging with Suckling is always a blast.

I agree, as my normal rotation is heavy on the Pepin, tatuaje side!
