The RTDA/Aug.7th issue really caught me off guard. These are the style of cigars that I like to smoke. I blended them myself, occasionally using my fourm buddies as guniea pigs! I love the cigar culture and wanted nothing less than the bold, true and clean profiles of Nicaraguan tobacco to comprise the blends of my cigars. I truly believe that Nicaragua is growing the best tobacco in the world - Padron, Joya de Nicaragua and others have known this for years. I'm very blessed to have such good friends that are "straight shooters," to put it mildly, when it comes to helping me validate my blends. As of right now, I'm in 103 top-notch Tobacconists across the states. If you don't have them in your neck of the woods, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do. Thanks again.

Our B&M in Tracy, CA (Cigar n More) does not stock them and I would love to try the batch offered here ... newhavanacigars.com/Illusione_7_90_and_Above_Sampler and would prefer to pick up in person.

The more I smoke these, the more I like them. I got a full box of the CG:4 and the aroma from the box the first time I opened it was fantastic...I wanted to eat 'em like candy. I talked my friend into a box of 88's and he went nuts. One of the guys we were smoking with said that even before it's lit, it has more aroma and flavor than most other cigars. I'm putting a box or two aside this fall; I bet these will be stunners in two years.
Man! I cannot wait to try one now. Still searching local B&M's to get my hands on one or two (preferably the 68, 88 or 2) before investing in a full box.
But bear in mind -- these are fairly strong and very rich cigars. I love them and lots of people I know do, but some other people thought they were harsh, bitter and overpowering.
I like the CG:4, 88 and 2 in that order. The double corona size may be too much of a good thing and the big figurado is like $14 -- beautiful but pricey IMO and has a tendency to split.
I am in Tracy, CA and I checked out Tower but my schedule over the next couple of weeks is just nuts. Besides working 8-5, I coach Youth Football 3 nights per week plus Saturday games and I am in a Graduate Program which accounts for my other nights...
I am thinking of sneaking away to Tower (in the next couple of weeks) and it is 70 miles away so I can enjoy one on the ride home.
I am leery of online purchases although I am open to a trade between fellow BOTL's.
Smoked an 888 the other day. My one and only problem with the cigar was that the wrapper had a few nicks in it, but this did not affect the smoke at all. What a great cigar, especially for $6
Dion I'm in Japan. any thoughts on going international? Probably not but anyway...Are there any websites that sell these? I'd like to pick up a five pack and try em out.
Well, I'm smoking the tail end of the 88 right now. This is the first Illusione that I've tried and I have to say that it has been an excellent cigar. My compliments to Dion and thanks for posting the link with samplers. Beautiful wrapper and a nice draw with lots of flavor. I was hesitant to make a box purchase without trying it first, but now I wish that I has sprung for a box. This will definately be one of my next purchases. All I have to do now is smoke the rest of the sampler and see which one I like best. A though job, but some how, I think I can manage it.

I have been wanting to try these since I read the above quote. But I have not been able to find them locally in Miami. I'm going to have to order online. They sound tasty.

Thanks for the kind words! Illusione's are pretty scarce right now. A container will be landing in Miami next week from there, I'm having them UPS 3 dayed to me. The order was supposed to be here about 3 weeks ago. Due to excessive rain and flooding in Honduras, the cigars needed more time in the drying room. Not to mention, they used the wrong Viso in the blend and had to stop production and grab MY Viso! The blends kick ass and will start shipping after Nov. 1'st. See you at Big Smoke Las Vegas.
So are you saying that this batch is better than the ones I purchased from New Havana? I am savoring the last two from a sampler, these were terrific. I would love to try a couple from this batch!
I just seem to like my stuff right off the table. I always have the factory send me validation samples before they start rolling. They have to be EXACTLY the way I want them before I release them to the public. This is really the only way I can keep control of my product. I have it rolled in small-quantities so, If they make a mistake, it can be fixed relatively easily. The last batch that came in after RTDA, they used the wrong Viso and I stopped production immediately and made them do it again. As a result, instead of having my cigars to ship 3 weeks ago, They will now land in Miami Oct. 31'st. From there, they will come UPS 3-day to me. All orders should be filled within the first week of November.
