I'm suprised that you aren't working with any tabacconist in Houston, TX. Cigar Vault, Tabacco Habana, Richmond Cigar, Serious Cigar......all high end tabbaconists in Houston. I'm only in town about 1 week a month but it would be nice to have your cigars available at the local store. Houston is a booming cigar market.

Tried an '888' last night (basically a Churchill). It was a bit too strong for me, I'm more of a medium bodied cigar smoker. Still even though it was strong it was very smooth and not at all harsh and I ended up smoking it pretty much down to the nub so I'm guessing it will be right down the alley of someone who likes full bodied cigars.

A friend smoked the CG:4 yesterday and said it reminded him distincly of Padron at first, but stronger. That ain't no bad thing. When I get around to smoking one, I'll post my impressions.
Finally got around to smoking a CG:4 yesterday. Construction was almost perfect and the dark, oily wrapper was very attractive. The aroma from the box was cedary and chocolatey. Burn was decent but the cigar required a few touch ups. Box date was July 07. The cigar starts off with a blast of power, then settles down, giving off rather lean coffee and leather notes with some pepper on the short, clean finish. This is a very, very promising cigar but very raw and powerful -- not "green" by any means but this is going to need some significant age, maybe a year or two, to smoke at its best. I'll be buying more to hold, but for those who like a powerful "fresh" cigar, buckle up and smoke now.

I agree with your assessment. Reminds me somewhat of a Tatuaje. Begins with a blast of pepper before settling down. I found it sort of cedary, with strong pepper notes. Pretty strong cigar, but not overpowering.
It's a fine cigar now, but it might be remarkable once time has smoothed the edges a bit.
Nothing wrong with that, Tommy -- so many of us buy Cuban cigars knowing full well we'll have to sit on them for one year, three years, five years or more before smoking them, yet we expect non-Cubans to be at or near their best right out of the box. It's nice to come across a quality non-Cuban brand that has so much potential.
I smoked the #88 last night, a 5x52 robusto format. Nice smoke, much less powerful than the CG:4 and perfectly enjoyable now though this also strikes me as a cigar worth sitting on for six months or a year. Flawless construction and a silky, oily wrapper with a great draw but it required a few touch ups to keep it burning straight. The flavors in the #88 leaned toward lush earthiness with some nutty qualities. The more cigars I try from this brand the more I like it.
Just smoked an M7 its called a Magdala its 58x6 1/2. My buddy mike brought them home from a trip he took out to Vegas. I gotta say a surprising smoke very earthy, nutty ,rich thick almost chewy smoke. Some red pepper notes but very refined the flavors came on gently for lack of a better word.A Great smoke IMHO.

I was given a 888 at RTDA and I really had a hard time enjoying it. I thought it was a bit narrow and harsh in flavor. Judging by the positive feedback here perhaps I had a bad one or it was hurt by the travel.
I like cigars.
