I must start of saying, that I am not a big domestic cigar fan (although Tatuaje brown labels have not been bad) and I do enjoy a full bodied cigar, these San Cristobal robusto/Clasico cigars have been very tasty. I always thought Ashton products were too mild; but this cigar has awesome flavor and volumes of smoke. Granted they are not cheap; they are worth the price. Seems like (as usual) the longer the stick - the less the flavor (the churchills are OK). Has anyone else tried these sticks and what was your impression?

My favorite two sizes are the Supremo and Maestro in that order. I have put them in the semi-regular rotation being that there is so many good sticks out right now.

I fell in love with this cigar at RTDA. There is a cocoa hit to a lot of the sizes I have not seen in Domestics. Yup they are pricey, but a great cigar. There is one to top is....alas it is only available in Texas. No Jodes Con Texas. 200 boxes limited production double wrapped Dominican from La Aurora. These are incredible.
I've had the monumento and fabuloso. Both good, but different. I prefer the shape of the fabuloso, but the flavor of the monumento. Good cigar, but not great.
I would prefer a litto gomez small batch #2, lusitano, 1926 and even a tatuaje nobles.
I've smoked 2 supremos and I still have a Clasico resting in my humidor. They were ok smokes with a nice burn, but the taste left me wanting more the whole time. Good flavor, but I was wishing for something a little stronger to hit me. I have a little hope for the Clasico since it's a little smaller, maybe it will come off a little stronger for me.
V.O. - flyboy... that was supposed to dupe US customs, not YOU! Remove the printed bands and see what they are....
I have two different sizes with the Guajiro and a few classicos and the difference was huge. The classico was more powerful, burned better and had a much better draw. They both tasted similar but the classico was much much better smoke. I want to try a monumento next they look sweet.

Got a box of the Classicos a few days back and I trully enjoyed the smoke, will get another one when this is gone. But as with all Ashton products - a bit overpriced.
I, too, expected something stronger, but I have nothing bad to say about this cigar. Oh, maybe that Ashton is really trying to "hype-up" the Cristobal by limiting the purchase to 1 box per order on Holts.
True, they are on the pricey side, but they are also very consistent. I have not had had a bad one one yet in any size i've enjoyed. I'm surprised that Holt's doesn't offer them at lower prices??? But I know i can always depend on the taste and quality.

"They're not real Cubans. They're Dominicans." Yeah. I'm a little worried. When there's no work, and the people get restless, who do you think they come after?... El Presidente!

Hi San Cristobal is a great cigar. I can get them from 8 to 10 dollars a stick. Compared to other pricey cigars, they are a solid seller and not that expensive.Perhaps by domestic you mean nonCuban? My friend how many Cubans have you had? Most Cubans I have tried are not as full bodied as the San Cristobal. I find Cuban cigars in general to be med. perhaps med. full. I believe you will find more full bodied smokes outside of Cuba than you realise. Q
