Hi all,

I've been looking for a cheap cigar bundle to fill my humidor with for a little while until I have the funds to add more premium cigars. I was advised to fill my 150 ct humidor with a decent amount of cigars to keep my humidity levels around 70 (it's currently about 65 with 8 cigars in there). I can't seem to find too much information on factory throwouts ( here). Does anyone have any information about this bundle? Would you recommend a different bundle to temporarily fill a humidor with? I know these cigar bundles are cheap but it would be nice if they were also a decent smoke Smile

Hi Jake, see here for my recent recommendation.

They're big Churchills too, so they'll take up a lot of space. Smile

They really don’t call them throw outs. Look up cigar seconds. Also there are a good amount of premium cigars that are almost in line with seconds. Such as Oliva O and G, La aroma, La Flor or Fuente Sungrown you can find a box of any of these for under $80. Check out Cigar bid, or Cigar international. Very good prices.

There is actually a Fuente product called a "Factory Throw Out No. 59s," and they actually just launched the No. 44 (Robo) and NO. 99 (Churchill).

See here: No. 59

I think that is what he is referring too at <$1 each, but I agree with you on looking for something different.

My yardwork cigar is the Bona Vita from Atlantic cigar. Sometimes they offer twofer bundles.

I started out with nothing and still have most of it.

If you do a simple search for "Factory Throw Out No. 59s," you will find them I'm sure. BUT, I would not recommend these.

I would say that Curley Heads are seconds, and these are thirds... if possible!

Try a couple of bundles of Rocky Patel Factory Selects from Famous or CI. They are the better culls from RPs Sun Grown line. I prefer the Toro's, but the torpedo's are good as well. You can buy them in the 2-3 $/stick range. There are some Camacho's in that price range too. Dig around in CI's "make me an offer": http://www.cigarsinternational...mao.asp?action2=mmao

just watch the CI daily deal along with famous smoke and cigar.com daily deals. You will be able to fill your humidor with premium cigar brands for around 2-3 bucks a stick. or cigarbid.com always works

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

Then why are they sold and distributed by Fuente and JC Newman?

Factory Throwouts are made by machine in Tampa, Florida, by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. The filler is the leftovers from handmade production at Fuente's Dominican Republic operation. There's a real wrapper leaf but a homoginized tobacco binder.
