I know that scotch has probably been discussed a few hundred times but what the hell its rainy and windy here in the northeast so i thought why not....If you could buy any scotch with money being no object what would it be?

The Macallan 500 year old. Apparently a clay flask has been found in a Scottish bog (still in the clutches of a kilted Scotsman), and the treacle like residue is the remains of the first known attempt by a Scotsman to distill whiskey.
They are selling it on Sothebys for $5,000 US a drop.

How much is that going for these days? £2000? The sad thing is, most people are gonna see the few bottles that are left as "an investment," never to be enjoyed as anything other than a conversation piece or for bragging rights.
