As it says I'm looking for a good single malt. I am a huge fan of Glenlivet 12 as well as Glenfiddich 18. Any recommendations? At the very max $100 for a bottle.

Same as with cigars, try a few drams of something before committing to a full bottle. Only you will know what you like.

Judging by what you have listed you should try:

Balvenie 12 Doublewood
Balvenie 14 Carribean Cask
Highland Park 15. The 18 is very good too but over 100.
The Dalmore 12. Spring for the Cigar Malt Reserve (over 100) for a special occasion
Scapa 16

You're under 21, right? Try some Motts apple juice...sorry for the cynicism but I do not condone underage drinking.

Balvenie 12 Doublewood is my favorite. Especially since it can be found under $50.

Give it a rest. The drinking age is 18 in almost every other developed country.

YEP, if one is old enough to serve one's country and sacrifice everything, then one is old enough to enjoy a fine single malt.

Try the Glenmorangie... regular or the sherrywood finish. Both are excellent. Don't care for the other wood finishes as much. And try using the search function. There was an interesting single malt thread here not too long ago.

Dug a couple up...

Leo - try the Dalmore Gran Reserva...great with a cigar.

Also, Woodford Reserve Four Woods - really nice bourbon right under the $100 range.

My response is a "baller" response. I just purchased a bottle each of the following.

Balvenie Doublewood 17 and a Tru 1401 batch 6. Expensive but for a special occasion. Just like having a suburb cigar. Time and a place. I like all the Belvenie.

Go with the Glenmorangie original! It is very fruity and complex with honey, vanilla, madarin orange notes. Also, very smooth and non offensive for a newer scotch drinker. And it will only set you back around 42USD, a bargain for what you get.
