Aholsber!!!
Pork is so great with an Asian Flair. A great marinade with Pork chops or Pork loin chops is

Ginger
Garlic
SoySauce
Tiparos Fish Sauce (just a touch)
Rice wine Vineger or some homemade Peach wine(some personal stash my Grandpa made with high alcohol content I use almost just for Asian cooking with pork or chicken.
Sesame Seed Oil
Brown sugar

If thats no enough and you want to kick it up some more just add the following to the mix above

Cilantro
Lime juice - Just a wedge
Chili

I personly just like the first one but have done both. This really does well on pork on Mesquit coals or just Charcoal with mesquite. Let it marinade at least a whole 24 hours for best results.

Tonight's dinner will be chicken wings that have been marinated in lemongrass, honey and rice wine vinegar.

They bake in the oven until crispy and the sauce is poured over white rice. Cucumber and carrot salad on the side. We'll sit and eat wings until we're stuffed. Ice cold Kirin Ichiban beer on the side.

Tonight I'm doing all three kinds of pizza Napolitan (if you don't know what it is do a search, you might learn something about pizza!) with some linguni and "gravy". Smile Tomorrow and Monday will probably be BBQ. I'll post as I decide what's cookin.

Stogie,

I know, that's why I have the a couple pork tenderloins in the remaining marinade I made. *grin*

I'm thinking about doing some fried rice to go with it for tomorrow night's dinner.

PMP, I hope you saved some of that souvlaki! I LOVE the real deal. And I could eat hummus and olives until I passed out.

Lunch today was red curry coconut noodle soup with chicken, cilantro, serranos, fresh basil, some lime and some crispy fried shallots to garnish. I am having a blast this weekend in the kitchen.

Today we're actually headed over for a BBQ in honor of my Nonna's birthday. She said she wanted a big steak, lol. Not sure what all is on the menu as I'm just showing up to eat. Sounds like a good time though. Guess I won't fire up my pit until tomorrow.

Dinner at the Nonna's house. That could be dangerous Smokie...

Tonight was a London Broil that I had marinated in hoisin sauce, soy, brown sugar, garlic and ginger. Oh my gosh that works as a marinade! Sliced it thin and served it alongside a Napa Cabbage salad with cucumber, red bell peppers and toasted sesame seeds. Thus ending the Asian themed weekend at my crib.

Alright. The brisket was dry rubed last night. I took it out of the 'fridge this morning and threw it on the smoker. It's smoking now and smelling damn god. I'm gonna whip up a homemade BBQ sauce to go with it. The sides will be garlic mashed potatoes, garlic toast and I'm not yet sure what kind if veggies. Man I'm hungry.

Smokie, you have too much disposable income! Wink
Be careful not to drop a week's pay on that fish, dude!

Tonight was pork saltimboca (chops stuffed with prosciutto, provolone and basil) with pasta on the side.

I wish dude. There's a much smaller goup of us going this time (last time it was ~10 people) so it should be quite a bit cheaper.
