Starting with some jalepenos, split them and remove the seeds. Spread cream cheese inside the pepper. You can add the atomic-power element of this recipe by mixing in a little cayenne pepper to the cream cheese. Then plop in a Little Smokey, wrap in bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Slap them on the grill or the barbecue, shut the lid and cook over indirect heat until the bacon is done, about 20 or 30 minutes.
Very good eating.

Is it liquid smoke? I can't get it here, one shop used to carry but they closed down a few years ago. It's getting easier to get barbeque accoutrements here but I still have to order mesquite chips on the net. Hardly good for my carbon footprint for all kinds of reasons. That recipe looks good by the way.

A little smokie is a cocktail size sausage. You can buy hot italian sausage, grill it up beforehand, cut it into bite size pieces and use it instead.

Cream cheese is pretty resilient..plus you've got the bacon rapped around it. mmmm...bacon!

Forgot to add, usually use a toothpick to hold the bacon wrapped around the cream cheese.
Once you've got the hang of it, you can start experimenting. Last time, after letting the cream chees sit out for a while, i added some cheddar, cajun seasoning, couple dashes of hot sauce..mixed it all up and then spooned it into the peppers.
The KEY is to maintain the natural walls of the pepper while scooping out the seeds and membrane.

Looks a bit like a mushroom under the bacon and covering the cheese.

For the Hunters on the board, this recipe is excellent with Dove breast as well. I'm gonna try it with the Lil smokies since it won't be Dove season until September.
That's one of the beauties of any recipe, kbice...take the base, experiment & make it your own.
Excellent contribution!
