ok... I had the chance to try last night a few drams of Dalmore Cigar Cask (I think it was called cigar cask.. )... and found it to be extremely smooth, and very easy to drink...

for a 12yr old, it was exceptionally refined... I had it with a cohiba Maduro 5 Magicos...

has anyone else had the scotch ????

Actually it's called Dalmore's Cigar Malt. It looks to be really great and I've read some good things about it. Last week actually, I was looking around at a local shop and they had a few bottles, so at that time I decided to do a bit of research where I learned about how great it was, and then upon me going back; they haven't had it since. What a shame...

$28.50 here in GA USA; I'm guessing you paid more than $50 up where you are.

actually it wasn't that bad.. 12 $ per dram....

at 12$, it's comparable in price to a 40$ bottle up in quebec (ie: JW black, Glenfidih 12)

I'll try and see if I can find a bottle up here...

it was rally good scotch....

Nice rating from www.tastings.com

92 • The Dalmore "Cigar Malt" Single Highland Scotch Malt Whisky $30. Best Buy.
Rich copper color. Sweet chocolate, burnt caramel, spice, and oily nut aromas. A rich, round entry leads to a full-bodied palate with buttery toffee, brown spices, roasted nuts, and nice dash of pepper. Finishes somewhat dryly with a dark caramel, chocolate and heather fade. Very rich and tasty. (tasted on May-19-2005)

I live near Edmonton and have not found it anywhere yet (still a couple of places to look), but I have seen it at the Calgary Airport in one of their liquor stores. Not a duty free shop, but on the departure level, so anyone can shop for it there. (cannot recall the price).

For what it is worth, I brough back 2 bottles from Europe awhile ago, and absolutely love it! A smooth, almost heavy scotch that really does match a cigar quite nicely.

Have had Dalmore Cigarmalt around this area of North Jersey for a couple of years now.About $30 a bottle,Bottle King is where I found it.
Really goes well with my Opus X,Hemmingway's and 858's.
If you contact them there is a rare version called Dalmore's Stillman's dram...more expensive ,but I hear it's fabulous!
